How does it benefit the public to know? If the doctor or family won't share, how will we know? Who wants to be THAT reporter?

I'm not sure I heard anyone more afraid of getting COVID than Hub. He was pro mask, pro vaccine and pro lockdown. It made me wonder if he wasn't dealing with a lowered immune system due to illness or treatments.

There were a lot of older people like that. I assume most people have a medical issue at a certain age.

There is nothing stopping anyone from going on Twitter and "reporting" this story. They could even link this thread. I think we all know that would be crossing a line though.

I think we'd all like to know that he isn't braindead.

It's already common knowledge he had a medical emergency. Could at least report that. Seems hypocritical to not.

Where's Hub. "I dunno". That is a lie. Like Karen Rodgers lied.

Overall, I like Hub and think he does good work, but also recognize he can be a self-righteous ass. The COVID period showed him to be an even bigger ass.

Is it really news? Is he really a celebrity? meh, but he's certainly dished out enough personal jabs at people that void him of any "wishes of privacy". Fuck that.

Apparently Nardi has never listened to any of Hub's segments on the Score.

j/k

The family can't be too happy with the Score when his fellow teammates Parkins & Spiegel set him up to speak out of turn about his Aaron Rodgers mvp vote.

We can all find ways to justify anything. I'll never understand why MANY desire to do or be something that they personally despise.

c'est la vie

I thought Hub was pretty good for a long time but then he seemed to change. He seemed more intense and less open to disagreement to callers not even conceding good points. I don't know what he had going on...some people have mentioned he was posting a lot about politics so maybe he was stressed over that who knows.

It seems Hub is being attacked by Rodgers fans right now. Maybe Rodgers did something with Rogan and he was mentioned. They don't seem aware he's been out of action for awhile...

He's not brain dead.

And he is recovering.

I do not always agree with Hub, but have immense respect for him.

Used to spend countless hours paging through his Pro Football weekly draft guide back in the day, it was one of the publications that started the whole draft analysis process by providing fans with scouting info on college players. The draft coverage has gone from tape of Pete Rozelle holding up an index card with a guys name on it to countless hours of coverage on numerous networks.

Wish him a speedy recovery.

Just completed a push up contest where he did more than anyone on the team

Sounds like a Ted Williams type situation here. Maybe the family has his head frozen to keep the business going.

Parkins and Speigel touched on this as well, although they didn’t really add any details beyond suggesting listeners who were so inclined should say a prayer for Hub. That kind of statement makes it sound worse than what Crest has posted. Maybe that wasn’t their intent but that’s the way it came across.

Hub and I have a mutual friend, who I got together with this morning. He saw Hub last week. He was on a respirator, but awake and responsive to him.

I don't agree with Hub's politics & social views. But he usually never pushes those views on his listeners. I try to not miss his guest spots on shows talking Bears. One instance I civilly texted him guest hosting he went too far with his political views on the air. That I was a loyal listener. He texted me 2 hours after the show ended to explain his side.

Great listen.

Yeah, I'm pretty confident Hub will get the job done. I'm glad the family put the word out. It helps, not hurts. When positive feelings fill the air, good things happen.
