Did the same, expect both offenses to struggle to put up points. San Fran likely dominates on D, but like the Bears getting 7.

7-3 49ers. Justin Fields fumbles and the 49ers pick it up and score their only points.

Bears 56-0. Fields throws for 450 yards and 6 TDs. Bears defense has 2 pick sixes and holds Lance to 40 yards passing.

I just think this is going to be a very Lovie type team that wins the turnover battle each week and uses special teams as a weapon.

Near 80 on Sunday. Bears should wear their white jerseys.

That works for me.

After watching the Nagy crap go bad so quickly. A Lovie type team would be welcome

My concern about the defense is whether or not the defensive line can generate a good pass rush. The addition of Watts should help, but we are still thin at DT and DE opposite Quinn (though Quinn hasn't had good consecutive years in a long time).

If VJJ is healthy, I fully expect him to break some long returns.

The only problem with that strategy is they no longer have the greatest kick returner in league history and the NFL effectively killed kick returns.

Bears +270 is a good value.

The 49ers front seven should dominate this game, they must be salivating at the prospects of Bosa going up against a rookie LT.

Will be interesting to see the offensive game plan, expect to see Fields on the move on nearly every play early with tons of quick outlet passes to backs.

I've stated this before, but its amazing how low the bar has been set for Eberflus. Not burning timeouts, getting playcalls to the QB in a timely fashion, and mere competence in gameplans and on the sidelines during games would be considered a success. Its high school shit, really.

Yeah, remember a couple years ago when Nagy's gimmick du jour was to bring everyone to the line immediately, then pull back to the huddle...which often resulted in a delay or other pre-snap penalty, or a time out?

I'm concerned with the defense stopping the run.

Doesn’t this have to be their game plan every week. Which teams do you see them being able to open it up against?

I'm not sure about the interior of the line, but I like Gipson. When he wasn't committing dumb penalties, I thought he looked really good last year.

From what I can tell, he doesn't play as well from a three-point stance as he did rushing from the OL spot. We'll see how he does in the regular season.

The 49ers went to the NFC title game last year and now are projected to lose against a sub-.500 team that objectively got worse over the offseason?

What have you seen from Trey Lance that would give you confidence?

An authority no less than Coach Dave Wannstedt picked the Bears to defeat the 49ers earlier today.

49ers - 23
Bears 13

Our O line blows, Fields holds the ball too long.. I see Szf running down the bears gut and Lance running for 50 plus.
