Obviously this one doesn't move the meters like the Ryder Cup but will be an interesting year in transition after MANY players from both sides left for LIV.

Immelman made his picks and it is going to be a young team coming after the US and the cup.

Immelman announced Tuesday morning that K.H. Lee, Christiaan Bezuidenhout, Sebastian Munoz, Taylor Pendrith, Cam Davis and Si Woo Kim are the final six players for the 12-man club, set to take on the Americans at Quail Hollow later this month. These six will join Hideki Matsuyama, Sungjae Im, Joohyung “Tom” Kim, Corey Conners, Adam Scott and Mito Pereira in Charlotte.

Davis Love III announces his team tomorrow.

The 2022 Presidents Cup begins on Sept. 22

Even with the LIV departures, USA should whitewash the World team.

Maybe. I am waiting to see the US roster. Certainly the Americans should be the more talented bunch but the International guys have some intriguing young guys on their team.

With the biennial matches now just two weeks away, Love announced that Jordan Spieth, Collin Morikawa, Max Homa, Billy Horschel, Cameron Young and Kevin Kisner would round out the American side.
Those six picks join the six U.S. team qualifiers: Scheffler, Patrick Cantlay, Xander Schauffele, Sam Burns, Justin Thomas and Tony Finau.

Pretty strong squad. Kisner is a bit of a surprise although I like his game and would be pretty fired up in a team format. Nice to see Horschel make it as I know he wanted it bad. Homa is probably my favorite young player to watch of late. Morikawa not playing the best lately and his putter has been awful.

I think Kis can thank Zalatoris for his spot but glad he finally made a team.

Lanny Wadkins famously wondered why his team had to fly “halfway around the world to Australia to play against a bunch of guys from Orlando".

I'm sure I'll watch some, but it's just hard to get excited about it. The "world" team will never really have much cohesiveness.

It will be interesting to see if Billy Ho* plays golf as well as he runs his mouth.

Runs his mouth? He's been outspoken (and correct) about LIV, but its not like he's some punk. He's also won a FEDEX Cup.

 Winning two playoffs events and the FedEx Cup is an exhibition? Ok then.

Meawhile, outside of Majors, Gooch has played in a grand total of ONE DP/European Tour event in his career. And that was the Australian Open
He's literally never played in Europe in his life, except for The Open. Now all of a sudden he wants to play in Europe? Sure, because he can earn World Ranking points.

I mean the PGA tour has basically crushed the DP tour into irrelevancy, but thank god that Billy Ho is there to save it. He and his West Ham golf bag.

You have refuted nothing that I said. I accept your concession.

Enjoy rooting against "Billy Ho"

The great European tour supporter Billy Ho played in around 1.2% of events that he was eligible to play while the LIV interloper Talor Gooch has played in 0.5%. 0.7% difference. Do you really think that makes the case for Billy Ho? The same Billy Ho who when he won the Nabisco* Tour Championship jumped from Ping to PXG and saw his tour ranking go from 1 to 66 the next year. I'm sure that PXG money made up the difference though.

The LIV golfers are playing for World Ranking points. He was right about that.

Starts this afternoon, USA should dominate but might be nice to see a closer match for once.

Still early, but USA off and running. Thomas and Spieth curb stomping Scott and Hideki.

They are throwing Burns back out there with Scheffler today. Interesting.

Cantlay and Schauffele rolling again. Spieth and Thomas playing well again.

Burns just drained a putt from Mayberry. Boy did he need that.

That Cantlay and Schauffele duo could be a force in Ryder Cups for a while as well.

 I know. Sometimes it seems like Spieth is a grizzled veteran who has been out there for 15+ years.

Patty Ice again!

That duo might go 2-0 and only have to play 24 holes
