Even though it was 12+ years ago now, I still think of that Gallery show you guys put together somewhat often. I remember I played a great set, and the night and music overall was just amazing. I think Doug's BIL and I did like 6 Jameson shots. Did you throw chocolate bars at that one?
I did. That was my Willy Wonka bit when I did "Golden Ticket". Mad Dog loved that shit. He learned some of my songs, taught his band, and had me sing to them providing the band backing because he always said "You deserve a band, dude".
My favorite memory is him bringing me on stage to do "Dragons" and ending on the coda of "Can You Feel the Love Tonight", which was his closing song when we first met.
