I too am disappointed in my people (sort of) for ill will directed at the English monarchy.

Also, they were plausibly drunk, so doesn’t count.

This title was taken from signs placed in boarding houses & cheap hotels in the 1950’s-1960’s Britain. It highlighted the prejudice of the times and exacerbated British/Irish hostility.
The title was chosen in reference to many contemporary issues: the Windrush generation (the false detention, denial of legal rights and deportation of West Indian migrants who arrived in Britain in 1948), the rise in popularity of Conservative political parties (UKIP, BNP, RN), the Good Friday agreement and the consequences of Brexit on the Irish border.

my boy told me some girl in his world history class said on Friday that she didn't care about the death because the queen had colonized her people

I told him he should have reminded her that the queen colonized half his people (not the good half) until the day she died. He missed a rare opportunity to win an aggrieved contest.

that's why crt needs to be taught in school

I'm not going to run the numbers but I'd bet there were far more lands de colonized during her reign than colonized.

Do you give credits for de colonizing, correcting another person's mistake?

She was still their queen. Essentially a silent partner.

who said it was another person's mistake? nation-states with any kind of navy were in a frenzy looking for potential colonies with resources. even the kaiser was in the pacific. do the modern citizens of new guinea and the solomon islands hate the germans? the english were the wealthiest for a long time, but they didn't spread the wealth to benefit lower classes to sustain their powerful base for managing an empire. i believe by the end of ww1, the percentage (apprx. 30%) of american homes with electricity surpassed the percentage of english homes (land of the industrial revolution).

england abolished slavery nearly a century before elizabeth was born. the british even granted a partition of india, recognizing the special status that muslims demanded then (regionally) and today (world-wide).

many cultures confuse benevolence for weakness.

To the royal family and all who mourn the death of Queen Elizabeth, especially unionist bastards, I extend sincere sympathy.

The Republic of Ireland is basically Delaware with a drinking problem and yet they still go on and on about how British colonialism has devastated them as if they're Bangladesh. You need to get over it, honey!

First, earlier in the day, you list the classic city-equivalent triumvirate of affluent Western Suburbs of Downers Grove, Hinsdale, and Lisle and now you disparage the history of my people, I believe you are referencing Northern Ireland and not The Republic of Ireland.

Similar to USC/UCLA joining the Big Ten even with certain geographical disadvantages I wonder if Ireland would be willing to switch from British rule to being the 51st state here.

delaware has a drinking problem. and besides old new castle, there's not much of that sentiment. besides college town side of newark, old new castle and hockessin, delaware is basically maryland.
