neighbor was on vacation and something tripped a breaker that was powering 2 chest freezers. they had received their half of a cow like 2 weeks prior.

I have wireless tags that report temps and you can set alerts in our 2 freezers because no way in hell I need that happening. the company also sells like water detection tags and other things so I have 2 of those near our sump pumps.

Where one gets everything else. I think this is the one we have. https://www.amazon.com/AcuRite-Refriger ... 148&sr=8-5 Search temperature alarm freezer in google or Amazon and you'll find one.

Edit: I was told this is not the one we have. The one we have can send alerts to the phone and they run around 100 - 150.

Forgot to pack my book in my backpack. Nothing looked good in the terminal store for books or magazines. Guess I’m gonna do the David Puddy stare at the back of the seat for two hours.

our second fridge/freezer is in the garage. sometimes when it's hot the fridge will just stop working for a day or two. it seems to be more than a standard defrost cycle... can last up to two days... then it will start working again fine for a while. solution would be to move it out of the hot garage and put it in the basement. counterpoint though, it's really heavy.

My stepdaughter is having some issues and so my wife is buying her a one way ticket home to help her figure things out. My sister in law comes for an already scheduled visit next Wednesday and my in laws are back for the 3rd time this year next weekend after already staying here 15 days this year. They will be here for another full week. October is not shaping up to be my month. :? Maybe I can turn it into fuel and get out of the house and go to the gym.

At the time my youngest went off to college, my wife's youngest daughter moved back home. So now we have her 25 yr old son, 22 year old daughter, and my 22 year old son.

I told my youngest "Son....the bedroom situation here is now what we call at work...."fluid". I appreciate the flexibility and patience you will show come November"

I won't even go into the fucking dog situation....I need to go move into a van by the river

My parents may briefly move in with me when they sell the family home. When I thought about extended family visiting I started to wonder about that.

And by all means, best of luck gentlemen

Oh my, I feel a bit better now. Sounds like you are the one qualified for sainthood. My situation should hopefully only be a few weeks. Thanks!

It's a nice thought Frank but I am pretty much mentally checked out from golf. The time could be better used at the gym or walking my dog. Pretty soon the frost delays will be coming and cold golf in the spring is tolerable because I missed it for 5-6 months. Cold, windy and hard to find your ball under the leaves golf after a season of nice weather is not as enjoyable to me.

I get it. I do love fall golf, but with as much as I spray yeah the leaves suck.

Just don't write it off completely. Given the situation at home it may be beneficial option to walk 9 holes a couple times in October ya know?

Aren't you in or around Kenosha? I wouldn't open anything there until the sun is well up with the shit that goes on there under the cloak of darkness. I'm shocked I haven't read about a weekend with multiple homicides in a week or 2.

I'm sitting here watching f1 qualifying knowing damn well that I need to be working out. Dropped all the way down to my college weight and now I'm developing a small gut. Oh well, it's time for some core work while laying here.

I’m in Kenosha. There are a few tough areas but I don’t think Kenosha is that dangerous. It’s been a few weeks since our last double homicide. I figured it was likely a staffing issue. Surprised they don’t change Mondays to limited hours rather than Saturday. Neck you live in the northern burbs of Milwaukee right?

Playing golf with my friend today and he collapsed in the fairway. He had to be revived by EMTs and later on died in the hospital.

I feel awful for his family and wish I could have done something. No warnings. He never complained about not feeling well. I dropped him at his ball and did a quick circle in the rough with the cart looking for mine and by that time he was on the ground. He said his leg went numb and said that thought he was having a heart attack. I called 911 and he was loaded into an ambulance and taken to the hospital. The Dr. comes out to speak to me in ER and the first thing he says is "This is really bad". It wasn't a heart attack, but an Aortic dissection. The Dr. said that 50% of people die immediately with around 10% passing with each additional hour. It happened around 11am and he was gone by 2pm.

I'm still struggling with the loss of my wife and now this, one of my closest friends passing away in front of me. Thankfully, we had a great conversation on the way to the course and he was enjoying the day. I guess when I go, I'd like it to be on a 72 degree day in October on the golf course. I wish it had been me today. I'm going to miss him.

Tell your family and friends you love them.

Holy hell Augie, so sorry. How awful.

A good reminder of how fleeting life is. I been frustrated the last couple days about something pretty unimportant in the big picture of life. But always good to be brought back to the important things.

A guy in our town had something very similar happen to him and it was an aortic dissection. He is a truck driver and started feeling bad. He called his wife to tell her that he was going to finish up his last load and lay down for awhile. While at his place to drop off his load he collapsed. Thankfully he was real close to one of the best heart hospitals in Ohio and they were able to do emergency surgery on him and he survived. Scary stuff.

Best wishes to you Augie, life sure sucks sometimes.

Thanks all. Not anything that you imagine happening when head out the door to play golf.

No Bob, it was just the two of us.

Augie I’m so sorry to hear this, you never expect something like that to happen doing something fun that you enjoy. It’s a good thing you were able to call 911 and be there with him. I know you probably wish it were you in the moment but don’t hang onto that feeling too long. I can’t imagine what you are going through but hopefully you can hang in there. Please continue to keep coming here if that helps you. I’ll pm you my phone number if you ever want to talk or text.

You are a butt head.

Was just curious about protocol in that situation, do you play through or call it a round. Seems like calling it is the right move

Sorry for your loss Augie
