The Bears get the ball with 17 seconds left at their own 27 & no timeouts, needing 8 pts. Fields throws a 6 yd pass, followed by a run out of bounds with 2 seconds left. I realize they were almost certainly going to lose regardless, but if I’m the HC or OC, I’m telling Fields to throw it downfield at least far enough to allow for a Hail Mary on the last play. What do you have to lose?

The Bears’ offense defies some sort of law of averages. Year after year, coach after coach, our offense looks like a bad high school offense.

Watching Redzone, and there are plenty of “bottom third” teams that still protect the quarterback and have guys open on plays. When our QB doesn’t get sacked, nobody seems open. I don’t think it’s simply Fields just not pulling the trigger, it’s a systematic failure that is seemingly passed on to each new regime.

Shouldn’t the “blind squirrel finds a nut” or “law of large numbers” or “mean reversion” or “every dog has its day” or some other universal truth mean we get one HoF QB?

I'm old enough to remember when the media and fans complained about the Bears not running the football enough. Less than a year later, they're complaining about the Bears running too much. Even though the Bears have had success running the ball.

A rapidly diminishing asset, not sure what you can get for him at this point? Noticed Robinson getting more and more snaps at DE, but the front seven looks atrocious, if they are not getting bitch slapped around by average offensive lineman they are playing sloppy undisciplined football, blowing gap assignments and missing tackle after tackle.

They are on pace to shatter the teams franchise record most rushing yards allowed in a season (2583 in 2013).

In almost every shot of Eberbflus he is furiously writing notes on a small note pad, especially in the first half, wonder what he is writing, maybe, "HELP", or "We suck"?

Really not sure what you build around other than one good CB and a decent group at RB.

It's gonna be a long year.

It's early. I think most of these guys have been dropped in the water for the first time in their lives. We're seeing what they're made of now instead of a playoff game a couple of years from now.

I'm just glad this Giants management group has seemingly decided to build around what they have instead of trying to force-fit an offense that doesn't suit them. This team (even prior to yesterday) is a run-first play-action team that is horrible (except for Andrew Thomas who may be the best left tackle in the league) at pass-blocking. Daniel Jones is not a top-half QB in this league and likely never will be BUT he is very good at play action and he runs well. If Saquon goes down they will be in big trouble.
