Before Pace and Nagy were fired....myself and MANY others said, "there is no chance the Bears will hire an outspoken strong personality type like Harbough".

During the Press Conference, McCaskey and Phillips made it very clear they were going to hire personalities similar to Pace and Nagy.

It was never going to happen. Blame McCaskey. Blame Ted Phillips. There's a body of work here proving it was never going to happen.

At least there was a SuperBowl appearance during the Mid-2000s. This was when Phillips was CEO and Michael was neutered as Chairman. Since George became Chairman the organization managed to get even worse(if that was even possible)

One of the reasons that I think Harbaugh liked the Vikings over the Bears is that the Wilf's are absentee owners. They live in NJ and very seldom come to the facility in MN.
