Well, MANY fans are influenced by the media.

No one looks at the lack of success that the Hinch has had in Detroit. He was the alternative. I would argue TLR maximized the potential of his injury riddled lineup of DH hitters.

He did a wonderful job with the 4th best odds on favorite to win the WS. Especially April and May.

Now that's not to say I didn't know they were flawed, terminally flawed, but he was just awful. There were a dozen team killing decisions and non-decisions he made early on that were inexcusable.

The team was extremely flawed before the injuries and power outage.

He understood the team better than us. He made a lot of moves in 2021 that wasn't in the analytics manual, and they worked. Not as much this year.

I say no.

If Uncle Jerry cared about this team, we could be looking at a Jewish guy firing a black guy, a white guy and a Caucasian Latinx man in one fell swoop. It’d be the intersectional red wedding.

Hard no. There’s no argument to the contrary.

Then to JORR's point above, MANY were correct.

Sometimes I wonder if people actually watch. Anybody who says that team is no better than an 81-81 team in that horseshit division isn't paying attention. They just didn't much give a shit. And that goes straight to the leader, who ABSOLUTELY enabled that attitude. And it was right from the very start, or at least 8 games in.

He's gone, I'm glad he's gone, and he was never wanted to begin with. If JORR wants Abreu as manager, count me in, it couldn't possibly be any worse than what I witnessed the 1st two months this year.

Think AJ Hinch wouldve guided this team to a better record ?

I’ve watched parts of probably 150 games this year. Not always paying attention, not always more than a few innings…but I’ve seen a good amount of 2022 white sox and this team has sucked consistently. I fault TLR for the don’t hustle edict. I also don’t buy that it came from him, so blame Hahn for that & the shit roster.

That said, the manager can’t both: a) not matter and b) take the blame for the players sucking. They need a professional guy in the clubhouse and preferably one free from the stink of Sox-dom.

Yes, Hinch could have gotten 83 wins out of this club.

Based on what? His success in Detroit?

Based on things like the alternative telling players not to try too hard and walking guys on 1-2. Detroit’s roster blows. The White Sox had the best odds of any team in mlb to win their division coming into the season.

So based on nothing. It is definitely not failing to meet preseason predictions.

Did TLR tell players not to run hard or was that order given by the training staff because out of shape players were dropping like flies?

By all accounts TLR communicated the code red.

Now, if Hahn was Jessup and TLR was Kendrick just following orders, it just shows that the HoF resume meant fuck all when the chips were on the table.

The question wasn't would the 2022 Sox win a World Series or make the playoffs under Hinch.

The question was would the Sox have had a better record this season under Hinch? The answer to that is undeniably yes.

I recall TLR stating that some players were told not to run hard because of injury concerns. That sounds like orders given from a training staff/front office.

Our players obviously suck long donkey schlongs, but to leave LaBiden blameless, is astounding.

Now onto Hahn....Who was the 2nd Baseman he was supposed to go get? Trevor Story? No? Who then? Outfielder? Thought we were fine based on Vaughn's defense last year. Maybe the bumbling was foreseeable, I dunno. Pollock seemed decent as far as depth.
Was Hahn to know the #1 prospect(Moncada) in MLB would be a bust? Was he to know Eloy and Robert were made of straw? Was he to know Timmay would decide to take a season off?

Kelly? horrible signing. Bummer? Fucker's toast. Diekman? Dumbest pitcher I ever saw. That catcher I can't even remember? Yeah, pretty bad move. Grandal? A walker who can't walk no more because pitchers FINALLY figured out he can't hit. Graveman? Good when he decides to throw the ball over the plate. Horrible when he decides he won't.

Fireable offenses? Not to me. These offensive guys were meant to play often and hit dingers often. Instead they had hangnails and put their thumbs up their asses in the field. With no consequences.

When the manager has no say in the on-field behavior of his players, honor demands he Old Yeller himself.

Hahn felt the OF would be fine with two DHs. He was wrong.

He thought Keuchel was sufficient LH pitching. He was wrong.

He was content with Leury or Harrison as everyday starters. He was wrong.

Bullpen is a crapshoot. Injuries are tough to predict. He absolutely failed to address the known-unknowns and apparently guided his elderly manager to tell his team to avoid running fast.

Crochet will be coming back for his baby steps 2 innings every month. Meanwhile, he'll pull a hammy or pectoral or something.

The second Crochet left his Chapman impression in Oakland he became Aaron Bummer.

I heard this morning from Score the "white sox fan" and south side irish anglophile that David Ross has become a really good manager so who knows what qualifies as good or bad anymore

Average in game manager at best. but credit has to be given to him for keeping this group playing hard and together during the 2nd half.
