I see some similarities...most obviously is the Jordan/Rose first coach stuff. Not that Rose is Jordan, but in the sense of the first immense talent the Bulls have had in a long time, new coach, coming out of a Bulls "recession"...

I'll be very interested to see how Vinny Del Negro adjusts to life as an NBA head coach. While Del Negro has been in the front office elsewhere, he's never coached on any level until now. The buzz on Derrick Rose is really, really good. For a young man that just turned 20, Rose seems to be surprisingly mature for his age. Given the glut of guards on the Bulls' roster, trying to fit the #1 overall pick on a team also featuring Kirk Hinrich, Thabo, Ben Gordon & Larry Hughes, playing time and how to keep them all happy will be Del Negro's first of many challenges as a head coach. We likely won't see BG tonight in the preseason opener vs. Dallas due to a toe injury, but those are a couple of storylines to follow.
