But roughly $170MM+ worth of contracts, a fat pension and all of his yearly shares of NFL licensed crap certainly helps.

He had an MVP year once. Kirk Cousins has failed to take the Vikings to the same place Case Keenum did.

Not sure about that. Wentz has this weird rep where his competence isn't questioned but his decision-making is. All these left-handed INTs/pick sixes when he should have just ate the sack instead of trying to find an inner-Mahomes that just doesn't exist. Even Pat McAfee who has an interest in keeping it cool with players so he can get them as guests openly trashes Wentz for bone-headed decisions. Says he's glad he's out of Indy. Cousin doesn't get that kind of rep. I think Wentz is looked at like how Winston was looked at during his TB tenure - really talented dude who just plays dumb football at times.

I don't think players are fond of either of them.

Don't forget, we get to look at these fucking uniforms all night. Which would have been bad enough by itself but they get to really shine against Washington's uniforms.

Wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the idea given the season.

Heinike isn't bad, I'd rather play him than Wentz tough. Think this game is ugly and boring.

Bears 19
Skins 16

Fields has started doing Yoga.

To stay calm in the pocket, Fields has turned to yoga. The Bears host a yoga instructor, among other specialists, typically two days before games at Halas Hall. Fields said he has benefited from the breathing techniques.

“It just allows you to stay calm and (it’s) working out,” he said. “So I just kind of try to work on my breathing as much as I can really.”

Over the past two weeks, Fields has applied it in games more. He didn’t at all over the first three weeks.

“Like literally between plays, like after the long run, I’ll come back and just like slow my breathing down,” he said. “And I feel like I don’t get as tired in the game, too. I think it definitely has a lot of benefits for sure.”

It seemingly helps him in the pocket with the pressure closing in. It’s a deep breath in for four seconds then out slow.

“And I think just doing that automatically keeps me more calm in the pocket,” Fields said.

It showed against the Vikings. It was Fields and the offense’s best performance this season, though it came in a 29-22 loss.

I don't mind a Thursday game when it isn't my team but just haven't enjoyed many of the national games for the Bears the last few years. I think we will see more of what we saw against the Vikings with an improved offense and I hope the defense shows up in the first half.

I'm surprised that he said that, rightly or wrongly he always seems ambivalent toward whatever is going on around him.

Fields is in a cant lose spot tonight . If he lights up a bad pass defense on 3 days rest itll be “ SEE, HE’S GREAT !!! “ . If he doesnt , well his team only had 3 days to recover , guys were hurt .

I predict a 19-16 BEARS victory, some good and some bad plays by Fields, some pictures of the Chicago skyline and the Chicago River, MANY bitching about the steam on Amazon Prime, and completely worthless input from brouge and Caller Bob.

What level of yoga? Downward Facing Dog is just not going to get him where he needs to be. Hopefully he is progressing into Vinyasa Vinyasa style.
