Wentz was awful. Washington is awful. The Bears have some winnable games coming up, but it's hard to believe that they will face a worse team than Washington. They were at home to boot.

This was deconstructed by the Ringer. Fields made the right read and throw.

The right read? Mooney actually had someone covering him, Montgomery does not. EDIT: The play Montgomery is open on is the first down play where Fields scrambled and ran out of bounds. He nevee even looked that way .

I'm sure there are other examples, but 3 times inside the 5 yard line, and NO points.... Feels like it should be a record.

And every time he gets that disappointed look on his face as though it’s his team failing him.

A multiple time MVP and Super Bowl winning QB that is in Canton? He actually comps pretty well with the Taysom Hill QB era.

Why can't he ever even be compared to a steady and serviceable starting QB? He is always on the track to the Hall and a generational talent. Those are pretty high standards and expectations. Maybe the local and national media should just hope he becomes Daniel Jones first.

How is the Romeo Doubs era going?

Not bad for a rookie 4th round pick. He is progressing just fine.

It's easy to crop pics and post them. If someone is within 15 yards of him, then they have the closing speed in the NFL to get to Montgomery..

Mooney should have caught the ball.

Period.

Yeah Cutler and Mitch used to have those garbage time numbers with the Bears too because they’d be down by 20 by then and defenses were backing off .

I don't believe that the Bears have been down by 20 all year.

While I agree that Patrick has been a disappointment, Mustipher led with the wrong foot there.

Patrick played him outside, and when he took an inside route, Mustipher was in no position to help.

Washington is now up on GB by 9 points with 6 minutes to go in the game. Washington's defense is solid. Face it, the entire NFL is composed of two great teams, two above average teams and then everyone else. This bodes well for the Bears starting next year with a full load of draft picks and a lot of cap space.

Those oh so woeful Commanders just beat Green Bay today. The Bears are not as bad as many think. Look around the league at the records of the play-off teams of last year. GB, 9ers, Tampa, Cincy, Rams, etc. The Bear's are literally looking at a terrific future with where they stand in the draft order and $117M in cap space. Just have fun watching the progression of a bunch of rookies and a terrific young prospect at quarterback. 10-6 at least next year and a Super Bowl run in 2024.
