Larry went hard after Russell Wilson saying he's unlikable with the persona he puts forth. Then Spiegel bashed A Rod for not being authentic. These two have a lot of balls bashing two very successful athletes at various facets of their lives compared to their own unlikability .

In what way is A-Rod not authentic?

I'll have to take Spiegel's word for it, though. If anyone would know inauthentic when he sees it, it would be someone who has spent 30 years in a cover band.

Spiegel said at one time he was at an event that A-Rod was at and to paraphrase him Spiegel felt an unauthentic vibe coming from him.

Having done the cover band thing for a number of years, here is what I can tell you....most of us that have real jobs and do it as a side thing get it....it's fun...you're not changing the world. It's go have a few beers and get people moving and smiling a bit.

There are MANY that actually do it as a full-time job. There's decent money to be made at that level, but your weekends and summers are completely lost. that's your life. Some of these groups have ridiculous people that follow the around festival to festival and yes...their heads get bloated. Not all, though. Some keep it together pretty well and don't take themselves too seriously.

I would suspect Spiegs is one that takes it and himself a bit too seriously. He's a talented guy, but as pointed out....it's replicating other people's art.

Just had a chance to listen for a few minutes.

They had a segment on Kyrie wherein they tried to reconcile arguments around privilege, COVID vaccines, Kyrie’s (apparent) Native American background, anti-semitism and the purpose of a union.

They both seem incredibly uncomfortable with this, to the point of an even deeper level of incoherence I didn’t know either could bring to the table. It’s objectively hilarious.

Dan seems to really have been neutered; my listening consists of 5-10 minute periods when i go out to lunch, so i could be wrong, but it seems like 90% of the talking is either Larry/guest/Leila when she's in. He doesn't really say much overall .

I disagree. Goff and Bernstein egged each other on to greater heights of political intrusion into the show. He wasn't chastened until Goff got the ax and Speigel got demoted.

I listened in the car the other day. It really seems like Holmes “drives” the show now. Not sure if that was the plan, but Dan is now in the Terry Boers role.

It devolved into both hosts telling people not to listen which had to be quite unsettling to advertisers...would Heavenly Bodies want to buy ads on a station that kept telling old white guys to go away, of course not, that's their target audience.

The entire show is the old twitter joke. 90% imagining a guy, tricking yourself into believing that guy exists, and then getting mad about it. Except for the last few weeks, its just been pretending that all bears fans are just too slow to accept Fields as a successful modern quarterback. As if the majority of fans are unhappy with how he has developed to his point. This show has nothing to offer but to beat the imaginary pinata to death over, and over, and over.

Some college football expert was on talking about the wealth of nfl-caliber QB's in college football right now, and Florida's Anthony Richardson's name came up as a player to watch, and Dan interjected that on top of all that, how proud he was of him for changing his nickname from "AR15", how impressive that was for him to do that all on his own. So so impressive.

So this afternoon we have Lawrence giving crap to RGIII from MNF for taking on the Mexican culture disrespectfully. As part of the diatribe he mentions a reason it was a bad move was the way RGIII put all the inflection on his words as he spoke Spanish during his segment.

I immediately laugh to myself who are you crappin' sitting next to Mr. Inflection, Bernsie.
