Not exactly two first round picks according to the "report" cited earlier.

Funny FYI...Eddie Jackson is the highest paid Bear at 11 million base and 4 million bonus. Is Eddie gone next?

You knew that report was bullshit. Chubb probably doesn't get you multiple first round picks.

A second and a fifth for an expiring contract? I thought they might get a second and a fourth, so this is more than acceptable.

I would have expected no less than a 4 to go with a 2 or just a 1st with nothing more.

They can use that salary now to go after edge rushers like Chubb or Davenport

You scream every week about the Bears not having good receivers or refusing to spend on WRs, now you say to go after pass rushers in free agency. Pick a fucking lane, dipshit

I know you aren't capable of doing more than a single task, but they should be able to spend big on multiple positions.

I don't think this increases available money for next year as he was not under contract (although probably would be tagged)

Can the Ravens use the franchise tag the next two years like the Bears could have?

I stand by my original statement.

But you are most likely correct.

I think he will be great for them.

Bears have nothing at LB now.

There is no position that isn't a justifiable pick.

This is a GREAT trade for the Bears. Load up on draft picks and get this thing going in the right direction. Nicely done.

As compared to trying to win this year and getting maybe 8 wins?

I would punt on running back, safety and kickers.

I liked Smith but if you are going to rip it down, rip it all the way down.

I know it's a joke, but it happened, Ditka ripped the whole thing apart with Finks (and I know he left but he did the 1983 draft so I give him credit for that) and built it from nothing and 2 years later they were in the NFC Championship Game.

I'm old. But they built a team that dominated the division for a decade.
