I liked Smith but if you are going to rip it down, rip it all the way down.

I know it's a joke, but it happened, Ditka ripped the whole thing apart with Finks (and I know he left but he did the 1983 draft so I give him credit for that) and built it from nothing and 2 years later they were in the NFC Championship Game.

I'm old. But they built a team that dominated the division for a decade.
