From a statement by the assailant nutjob, he was looking to attack Nancy to “break her knees” in order to “send a message to the rest of the Democrats” so…it doesn’t sound too far off that even if he were a liberal nut previously he could’ve been swayed by right wing rhetoric. Either way, the Pelosi’s seem to need better security when Nancy is away, if all he needed was a hammer to break in through a sliding door.

They don’t even have an attack dog?

This dude shouldn’t have been able to break into the neighborhood let alone the house. I’m surprised they don’t live in some gated community like most rich people do.

I think knowing what we know now, you could read it a little differently. The story said "an unknown person opened the door." It was natural for a reader to assume the "unknown person" was someone other than Pelosi or DePape, a third person. But now that we know the police refuse to say who opened the door, the unknown person could be Pelosi or DePape.

So the story is they stopped trying to hit each other with hammers and Paul Pelosi let the police in it’s plausible I guess he let Paul go to the bathroom. Or did the guy trying to hit Paul with the hammer let him in cause he’s that nice? And why did they wait for the guy to hit Paul in the head? It makes no sense. I’d like to see the body cam footage but I don’t think that’s gonna happen.

Law enforcement has been known to nudge a few people. They'll show you how to build the bomb, where to buy the gun, and literally put the crack cocaine in your hand so they can make a very public arrest.
