It's a shame one man Dusty is under such intense scrutiny. But, he's repeatedly played the victim card. So the the intense scrutiny comes part and parcel.

The starters are really getting a lot of rope in this World Series. Nola was just allowed to load the bases with no outs in the 5th.

So different from what we've seen the last several years in the playoffs...

I don't know, the first guy out of the bullpen was equally as bad.

A no no with 96 pitches after the 6th. Too bad. But more than any other game, the win is much much more important.

It's a different swing when they are tipping pitches. Harper looked bad on that first swing.

I'm not nearly as impressed by multi pitcher no hitter. It's more of an interesting anomaly than an all out accomplishment.

Agreed on this. The accomplishment of a no hitter is navigating a lineup a bunch of times and not allowing a hit over nine innings.

It's less remarkable when you have several guys who only have to navigate three hitters.

Starter going 6IP 0H in the World Series is fairly impressive on its own. The rest its just an interesting footnote. This isn't even in the same universe as Larsen's, and MANY rungs below Halladay's.

Of course a 1 pitcher no hitter is more impressive. Keeping a team from getting a hit in the WS is still great.

ehhh.... if it takes four pitchers, it's between good and great. About as equal as a single pitcher 2 or 3 hit shutout.

You're free to call a combined no hitter great.

Agreed. Last night is on par with the White Sox in game 3 of the 2021 ALDS in which their bullpen retired the final 17 Astros they faced. Pretty good, but not great.

In my humble opinion, this has been the best game of the series thus far. Not a ton of runs, but a lot of action.

Game 1 wants to talk with you.

But....there's still more time in this game to see if you change your mind.

In five games this WS both teams have a combined 69 hits.

In game five of the 1982 WS the Cardinals and Brewers combined for 26 hits.

Would like to see baseball look more like 1982 that 2022.

I know hits don't always lead to runs, but I prefer a low scoring baseball game to a high scoring one. Game 1 was nice, but in Game 5, every run was like a body blow. In those low scoring games, every time a team gets a runner on base, the tension starts to kick in. You don't feel that in those high scoring affairs.
