There is no excuse for the defense being this bad
Vic Fangio could walk into Halas Hall tomorrow, rip out this Tampa 2 junk and install at least a respectable defense..he's done it before.

It sucks we are married to this garbage Tampa 2 that needs 3-4 pro bowlers across the board to be successful

They have up fewer points than the Dolphins and stopped them in the 4th. The Bears had a chance to win. St. Brown and the officials took it from them.

Do you really think the defense played well today?

No. I'm just pointing out the reason for the loss.

I would really like to see them bring Fangio in as a consultant and try and right the ship. Just like he did in 2015 fixing Mel Tuckers mess

There are a lot of good free agent linebackers. I believe there are some decent pass rushers too. I don't want to blow our load on defense. Hopefully some of these young guys step up.

Yep. It’s pass interference. It also hit him in the hands

Before the safety blasted him at full speed

edit Just watched the replay, he still could have caught it.

There is no justification in the current context for the bears to sit velus instead of either brown or pettis.

Lost in all this wailing and gnashing of teeth its all moot if Tua hits a wide open receiver instead of throwing it at his ankles on that 4th down play. I wonder if the Miami media will be excusing Tua saying that the receiver turned his shoulders too early.

Too hyper fixated on pushing your narrative instead of going with the facts, even if you don't like them. "lost in this" is also the Bears lead and maybe win if the punt isn't blocked for a TD.

I disagree about Pettis. He does a lot of the little things very good like block.

Dolphins are torching everyone they play, so did not expect the D to stop them. The Fins killed them whenever they went into base Cover-2, routinely hitting the open spots in the zone easily, teams will do that all day until they find a pass rush. You could argue that they need to replace the entire front 7 on D, but they desperately need help at DT.

You could see how Claypool impacted the offense, once he learns the offense he will be the guy Fields goes to on the last play and not a bottom of the roster FA.

The Velus Jones healthy scratch should be a wakeup call for him, Poles has shown he will move on quickly from underperformers.

If the team plays like this the rest of the year they likely get at least 4 more wins, especially with the Packers imploding. Still have Buffalo and Philly, which are obvious losses, but they should be competitive with the rest of the team on the schedule, none of which feature high powered offenses, and can see the Vikes resting guys in the last game.

Foles looks to be the guy, so you build around him, given the ample resources available next offseason, fully expect the team to compete for the NFC North title next season, almost due more to the other teams declining, but there is room for optimism.

Tua choked on the last two drives. If you are a Miami fan, that's pretty damn concerning. 0- for whatever on 4th downs too.

What happened to the Bears running game? 59 yards

Not really . If the punt isnt blocked all that os
means the Bears kick it away to the Dolphins who once again ram it down their throat for a score again. So not exactly the same thing.

His narrative is that he is a miserable douche and a football dunce.

Tua is going to cost them a playoff game. I was surprised the Bears didn't run more. Fields made up for it. I am interested in seeing if Fields had open receivers before he decided to run.

Probably more like front 6 and a corner with how much time teams spend in the Nickel but I agree that the line and linebackers needs some talent. Would like a real center as well. Not sure I want to rely on two tackles developing either but can't replace everything at once.

it was fun
the tailgaters are weird
i've never really experienced it before outside of a few college games a long time ago
(my first Bears game ever was last year on a Monday night so didn't tailgate )
it seemed like they might have the worst defense ever
My cousin was pretty aggressive and seemed like he was getting close to getting into a few fights at various times
