Yeah. Pollock is a pro's pro. He'll probably be waiting to see what if anything is going to happen to Bellanger and the Dodgers and try to go back to them if they don't keep Bellanger.

I saw where the Sox didn't renew Harrison also today. Thank goodness we still have Garcia. GASP.

Kyle Crick, Josh Harrison also opt for free agency.

Rumor is Adam Engel will be non-tendered

$8M+ is fine if my math is right. Also, Illinois' state and local taxes are some 30% above the average.

He seems like the type of mid-tier vet who’s been squeezed out of the game under the current CBA.

That said, I wouldn’t be shocked if he got a 2yr deal that makes him more than the $8m he’s walking away from.

It looks like Dusty is going to return in 2023, which means Espada gets passed over again. Maybe there is something up with him.

He can get 1/8 with a team option for a second year at 10m or a 2m buyout from a rebuilding team looking for a veteran flip candidate.

what are you basing that on?

He's a 35 year old, perpetually hurt, one side of a platoon at this point. I think he is playing on one year deals the rest of his career at sub 5 per. He's made his money though, so he probably is looking for a more comfortable fit rather than maximizing earnings.

The guy is turning down $8M, doesn't that say more about the Sox?

Probably. He was one of the few White Sox players who played fundamentally good defensive baseball. Then , of course, when guys get to that point in their career family comes into the decision as in where they want to live as well as going to a team that will contend.

I disagree. He always has been a good defensive outfielder playing centerfield for most of his career. Now he is on a back end of a good career and has slowed down. It happens.

-2.9 UZR, -0.4 dWAR, and saved -26 runs last year.

Not good. You can disagree and be wrong.

I give zero fucks about him. I don't think he was even above replacement level, in the field or at bat.

He was solid at the top of the order for stretches.

Give it two years and I’ll forget he was ever on the Sox.
