I think it’s fair to ask why, after more than 10 days on the roster, Claypool isn’t filling up the stat sheet.

Best thing about this game is it got done early so we could watch the end of the Vikings and Bills great game.

I think we all need to keep in mind this offensive line cannot pass block.. that’s why they’re opting for a lot of these designed runs and immediate bootlegs which cut the field in half.. it’s going to be a bit harder to throw a lot and do it really well when the team is resigned to that. I agree with alot of people here that this isn’t a sustainable because the QB can be injured at a higher clip.. but him getting sacked constantly trying to throw from the pocket is just the same.


Until this O-line improves, passing is going to be really rough and hit or miss. This doesn’t excuse all of Justin’s flaws.. but he has at least shown a lot of improvement with these newer wrinkles to the offense.

Fair to ask, but I think there’s a few reasons.. You’ve already got Mooney and St Brown established on the depth chart (Pettis too).. Pringle was active for the 1st time in a long time and I don’t think Claypool knows what they want him to know about the offense yet


We’ll see more of him soon enough, I’m sure of it.

And scoring 29 points or more 3 straight games and losing all of them for the 1st time in NFL history is on the QB. Everyone knew this was a shit roster offensively and they are still in just about every game.

After that bullshit hands to the face call. Eberflus spoke to the head ref during the TV timeout for almost the whole 2 minutes. Penalties stopped

Uhhhh, yeah, but to me not being able to throw it 50 yards and being able to throw it 50 yards but not even it a 10 yard radius of the receiver is a distinction without a difference.

The refs always seem to hate bad teams.

The blown PI and illegal contact calls the missed on Kmet changed the game, but they never should have been in that position.

We forget that we have a coaching staff with a first year HC and OC, for some reason they got away from the run when they were up 14 and tried to get cute, getting cute does not work in the NFL, hopefully they learn from their mistakes.

This game, as will a majority of the games remaining on the schedule, will be lost because they Bears front seven is terrible, full of rookies and career back ups, most of them would not be starting anywhere else, you maybe have 4-5 guys on D that are average, expect them to invest in both lines heavily this offseason.

Yes, the talent sucks, but the Bears are playing the worst kind of defensive scheme too. This soft as cover 2 can't get off the field at all on 3rd down. Teams simply string 10-12 plays together and score, also keeping the offense off the field

They should be playing a more aggressive scheme, if
The other team scores quickly at least you get your offense back on the field

I stated earlier that it appeared that they just went with straight drop back and pocket passing this game to get Fields more work at it. Basically it seemed as the attitude was, "It is only the Lions, let treat this like a controlled scrimmage."

The Lions had no answers for the outside option, Fields torched them again and again, all they had to do was run that repeatedly once they were up 14, pick up a few first downs, and the Lions lose the game by 14-21 points, they were ready to pack it up, but they got away from what was working, you see this in the NFL every Sunday, and when you sprinkle in a few call or non-calls by the Refs, you have exactly what the NFL wants, close games that go down to the wire.
