Velus is absolutely a huge issue and looks to be a bust of a relatively high pick.

Claypool is up in the air. he has played in 2 games. Can't rightfully judge him yet. But concerning he was not more involved yesterday.

Harry does not even really belong in this discussion. He was a lottery ticket that they used a 7th round pick on. He will be gone sooner than later.

Fields can't throw though. They don't even let him throw. The best WR in the league would look terrible on the Bears right now because Fields on average completes 12 passes per game for 149 yards per game.

If by the end of the year, Fields isn't targeting Claypool at least 8 times a game I think that is a question mark for Fields more than it is any receiver.

I guess you missed the rollout left throw right for a touchdown in the Lion's game? I seem to recall this same guy doing the same thing against the 9ers for a TD in a rainstorm.

What makes you claim that this guy can't throw the ball?

The fact that the team doesn't let him throw the ball. In that same Lions game, Fields threw the ball 20 times and 4 of those came on the last 2 minute drive where they had no choice but to pass it.

His completion rate outside of the Dallas game is horrible given how the defense is worried about the running game.

As you pointed out, Fields has shown flashes of making good passes, though sometimes that is aided heavily by receivers so wide open from the way the defense is trying to shut down the running game.

Obviously, if the rest of his career he is going to be running for over 100 yards a game then it's going to be a very good offense but we also shouldn't be questioning why our WR's look bad splitting 12 completions a game.

I'm not sure if this is Getsy not trusting Fields to throw. Fields doesn't trust himself.

Eh whatever we keep the draft position moving.. offense played well, Fields had another good game.. bar calls really made a difference in this game too

Gotta throw the ball

Where? Who was open..? Show me the screen shot.. I mean he avoided two sacks there and was hit almost immediately after that. Not much he could do there on that last play from what I saw

On that last play of the game, he's gotta get the ball to the WR at the bottom of the screen who's in single coverage..I can't see who the receiver was, I don't think it's Claypool but it should be. Let him go after a 50/50 ball. I like Clay Harbor but he is wrong here, Pringle in the middle picks up a double coverage from the safety, and the other safety has his feet planted toward the WR at the top of the screen, WR at the bottom is where ball has to go. Also would have been better off leaving the RB in(assuming Monty) for pass protection.

I forgot how much time was left but if it's do or die risking an INT on a 50/50 throw is better than taking a sack. Throw the ball.

I believe there around a minute or so left but the Bears were out of timeouts.

Not sure who that was coming across the 40 but that was open enough. He has to try and lead him there. Taking a sack is unacceptable.

He also had two guys in single coverage on the outside. In a last drive situation you sometimes as a quarterback just have to throw it into single coverage and hope your WR makes a play or draws a pass interference penalty.

I don't think the expectation for a modern day NFL quarterback is that he is only to blame if he misses a wide open WR or TE.

You are misstating things a lot. YOu claim he can't throw the ball when he has proven all season that he can make any throw a quarterback is required to do. The Bear's lead the league in rushing yards and their total offense over the last bunch of games has been very good. Your projections of the rest of his career is really ludicrous. If you can't see the talent that he has displayed and proved how good he really is, no one can help you.

Hilarious. So now you're saying that Fields doesn't have "CONFIDENCE" in himself? That is really funny.

He hasn't. He has made some good throws but he's had a fair amount of misses. Why do you think his completion percentage is so poor? He has the advantage of every player on defense worried more about his running and he still can't compete passes at a good level.

None of what you said makes sense.

We are talking about why the Bears WR's look bad. They are sharing 12 receptions a game.

Is the plan for the rest of his career for him to run 100 ypg? Even Jackson isn't close to that any more. Fields is going to have to learn how to pass if he is going to make it in the NFL.

So, now you think that Fields needs to "learn how to pass"? and my favorite take, He may not make it in the NFL? AND.... "NOTHING THAT I'VE SAID MAKES SENSE"?

Sorry, man, but your criticism of Fields is so wrong that it is ludicrous to argue with you. Have fun taking your takes to someone else.
