First preseason rankings came out today.

Big 10 looks to be down from the previous few years. A lot of Indiana love in preseason stuff. Not sure I buy that. But hopefully they will have a good year.

Preseason AP Top 25

2. Gonzaga (12)
3. Houston (1)
4. Kentucky (2)
T5. Baylor
T5. Kansas
7. Duke
8. UCLA
9. Creighton
10. Arkansas
11. Tennessee
12. Texas
13. Indiana
14. TCU
15. Auburn
16. Villanova
17. Arizona
18. Virginia
19. San Diego State
20. Alabama
21. Oregon
22. Michigan
23. Illinois
24. Dayton
25. Texas Tech

I think that is the lowest I have seen Arkansas ranked in one of the preseason polls.

SEC should be a fun watch this winter. Kentucky, Arkansas, Tenn, Auburn, Alabama all pretty good teams.

Big 10 will be a bloodbath again and no team makes it to elite 8.

Disregard my lack of reading comprehension.

my Ramblers jump into a league with one team in the top 25 and another at 30.

Frank Martin and Archie Miller are in year 1 of their programs.

the A-10 is going to be tough

Ramblers should be in the top half of the league.

At least the Hoops coach make adjustments throughout the year.

They will be a mid pack Big 10 team is my guess. You lose for the second year in a row, an All American and have to somewhat start over. kris Murray will take a step - he's not as explosive as Keegan but he's solid. Tony Perkins is a tough Big Ten guard. The one thing I will say I hate about Fran is having a too deep rotation. He's talking about running out 11-12 players. Hope he tightens that up.

Kentucky just got DJ Wagner to commit. I remember watching his grandfather come in to play as a freshman. You know how I feel old...

Used to love those Louisville/Memphis State games at the Mid-South Coliseum in Memphis, my dad had us great tickets.

I was offered a grade bet by my HS gym teacher on the Keith Lee Memphis State team. 41 years ago. :alien:

I saw Memphis vs Georgetown at The Pyramid back in the spring of 1997 when I was going to school in Memphis. Neither team had a very good squad back then but it was memorable.

Curbelo is still undisciplined. Lot of excitement generated but still struggles to score.

I can't remember which station it was in Chicago carried Metro conference games I think on Monday nights. Loved those Dana Kirk Memphis teams.

He's a lot of fun to watch but he's like Sidney Deane. He looks good while he's losing.

They won tonight against Nebraska - and had a couple highlight reel plays but also several WTF moments.

My Hogs lost but that was a hell of a game against Creighton. Hopefully Nick Smith gets on the court soon.

I am shocked at how far along Purdue is. They absolutely crushed Gonzaga and Duke. They lost like 70% of the minutes played last year and a lottery pick and there is a good chance this team is better than that one.

They won’t have let Ivey take several
Wild shots in a row anymore and play Purdue basketball.

That's the truth.

This team also doesn't consider defense to be optional.

The Big Ten appears to be a lot better than expected.

Purdue, Illinois, MSU all should be elite. Indiana probably makes the tournament too.

As much as I don’t like Purdue, I do like what Painter has built but his best teams lack the single scorer approach.

Big Ten's got some work to do tomorrow, but it looks like a good slate of games.
