He makes a lot of business decisions, runs around blocks to avoid contact, kind of like Roquan Smith used to do, one of the few guys stealing money still left on the roster.

However, even Caller Bob, who I understand ran a 4.2 40 back in the day, would look good trying to cover guys behind the Bears putrid front 7.

The Bears DE's might be the worst group in team history at this point, an aged and likely intoxicated Dan Hampton could hold the edge better than Muhammed or Gipson. Will not even get into the DT's, but expect significant changes in this group.

It is somewhat concerning to see a team coached by the HITS principal dude tap out so quickly, but they are all likely resigned to their fates because they are completely outmatched talent wise every week on both lines which makes it impossible to win football games at any level.

Do see guys on defense who are regularly out of their gaps which in a base Cover-2 is a recipe for disaster, rarely see an NFL level defense lose outside contain as easily and frequently as this Bears team, the other teams see the weaknesses and are more than happy to exploit the guys that will be working at Amazon next year.

How can you not find a backup QB better than the guy you played yesterday?

My gosh do the Bears suck in getting QB talent. They are completely inept.

Don't know how it could be a wash, Claypool is what he is #2-#3 WR at best, looks like tarzan plays like jane, there is a reason they wanted him gone...and Bears gave up a high 2nd rounder. Those picks are gold, you can get guys that just fell out of the first round there or trade back into the first and get that 5th year of control.

A win or 2 could change the order a lot, but right now, it's Claypool for the #33 pick (Miami forfeited their 1st)

The Bears' pass blocking looked better yesterday. Before the Toradol wore off, Siemian looked significantly better in the pocket, and the receivers were open and catching passes.

For everyone who would want a healthy Fields to sit, he still has a lot of developing to do. You aren't going to develop pocket awareness sitting on the sidelines. You aren't going to improve your timing hanging out with Uno. The kid has a lot of work to do.

They haven't even thrown to claypool much, 5 targets yesterday was decent. Mooney and Claypool need 8 or 9 targets and some deep balls.

When Claypool has been targeted, he's caught some tough passes or been interfered with. It's insane to have a negative opinion about a guy who wasn't playing or being targeted for the 15 or so plays he was on the field.

I would just rather have the 33(ish) pick in the draft. I get it, they had to give Fields something, but I took alot of heat for this (by people that have ZERO football knowledge like Seacrest) but they really would have been better off with an overpay of Kirk, MVS or JuJu than surrendering such a high pick for an enigma.

He managed to consistently get open against one of the best corners in football yesterday. Maybe he had a quarterback who couldn't or wouldn't throw the ball. Maybe he was just playing 15 snaps because he's still learning the plays.

LOL for a prospective "#1" the expectation would be inside a month. How long do you think it should take him to learn the Bears complex passing schemes?

10 spots? That pick is #33 while the Ravens (now Bears) pick is 55. The Bears would have to start winning some games(good luck with that December schedule) and the Ravens would have to really have the wheels fall off.

What is there to be happy with, with a 3-9 team that has lost 5 in a row and embarrasses themselves every time they step on the field?

NFL playbooks aren't as simple as you think. One of the primary reasons offensive players aren't traded in season is because of the complexity of the plays and the terminology. Guys get a playbook in March and they're still trying to master it in the preseason. Claypool is months behind his teammates. Expecting him or anyone else to know a playbook in 3 weeks is foolish.
