The peperoni slices they use have a gurth that would put John Holmes to shame. It was a little greasy, but they made up for it by cooking it perfectly. Good crust, good cheese, great toppings.

It's 57th between Dorchester and Woodlawn. Meh.

Why didn't you stop by and say hello?

I agree. Medici pizza is nothing special. I do like their mozzarella garlic bread, though. The Seminary Co-Op bookstore is one of my favorite places on Earth.

I went there as well, but this is the pizza section.

This is cheezy, but a big +1 on the Co-op bookstore. And as to Medici, agreed as to the "meh", and Edwardo's is better.

The Medici has just been around (seemingly) forever, living on memories of the 1970's experiences of kids back in the day...

Homewood Auerillos pizza is the best pizza for me. No other can top that in my eyes.

Thankfully, that pizza was so bad it helped get me out of living in the So. suburbs before my 1 yr. sentence(lease) was up. (Read: It made the wife sick & I used the opportunity to pile on)

Just for a little me-tooism, I also +1 the seminary bookstore. Fun place to spend an hour and half a paycheck.

No love for Art of Pizza? Haven't had it since I moved up here to Kenilworth but 5+ years ago that was "the excrement" as the kids like to say.

Wifey and I loved the corn-bred like crust. Good stuff. Somebody run one up here for me, will ya'?

Anyone for Maries on Lawrence? Never actually had it. Only heard about it.

Art of Pizza had 2 things for me.

1. Was open Sunday at 11 so I could order it for Bears games
2. Always had slices ready.

How are my Cheese to Please guys! Long time guy, grew up blocks away

SORRY NO MORE PLACES WILL BE ADDED AS I JUST FOUND OUT WHEN I ADD PLACES IT ERASES ALL THE VOTES AND STARTS AGAIN AT ZERO.

Marie's is my old neighborhood place. The quality has really gone downhill in the last 5 years. The pizza is unbelievably greasy- you could saturate a paper towel by dropping it on the surface. If you're in that neighborhood, drive another 3 blocks or so to Lawrence and Elston and pick one up from Sano's.

Damn, I haven't thought about Sano's in years. I used to work for a band that rehearsed in the building at the end of the block on Lawerence at the parking lot...
