It's certainly not the most important stat, but given that they have attempted to overcome numerous 4th quarter deficits this season, you would think that he would have racked up some of those empty yards at some point by now.

He is generating empty yards but that's mainly via the run. That's not a defense of his run-first approach but just a statement of fact. And, given how competitive the Bears have been in several surprisingly winnable games (Washington, Minnesota, Atlanta, Detroit, etc.) you can argue those yards haven't been empty per se. You might say his TD toss to Pringle yesterday and the other post-injury passes were fluff because they were already out of the game by that point and had little to no chance of winning. But they could have won the other games.

Jalen Hurts has a sprained throwing shoulder, and his status for Saturday's NFC East showdown against the Dallas Cowboys is in doubt, according to multiple reports. His agent Nicole Lynn told ESPN that they don't believe his injury is long-term, while the Philadelphia Inquirer reports that the injury could sideline him for two games. Hurts sustained the injury during Sunday's 25-20 win over the Chicago Bears.

I wouldn’t call it impressive I guess, but beating the Bears twice has helped ease the pain.
