Lakers winners of the past 3 and edging into the 10 spot. If LeBron and AD are healthy, I wouldn't want to play this team. Russ is the only guy that when everyone's healthy can screw up the chemistry. Russ thrived last night being the main option and they have good defensive players, even though they can't shoot. Schroeder was an underrated pickup and has changed the way they play. The Heat shot incredibly bad and were a step slow all night, like they thought they could turn it on when they needed to. But it got too late in the game, and Herro had an abysmal game.

it took Denver 3 quarters to put away a Laker team with no Lebron, no AD, no Lonnie Walker, no Pat Bev, no Austin Reeves, and no Troy Brown Jr. all of which means more more more Russ (bad for Lakers) Supposedly the Nuggs are the best in the West.

All they have to do is sneak into the 10 spot, which at this point I think they will do regardless of health.

Lakers half game out of the 10 seed and sticking right with the Mavs without AD. Getting great minutes from role players.

If Denver is healthy they can hang with anyone because the Joker big enough to see over the D and will they pick and roll you to death, so offensively they are a challenge for anyone.

Embid is the only real back to the basket low post center, and there are really no guys in the league that can defend him, Philly can hang with you for a while, but lacks consistent secondary scoring outside of Hardin.

Do enjoy watching the young Western Conference teams, especially OKC, they lack experience, but have all kinds of developing young players, they move the ball, very few "my turn" possessions like the Bulls where the ball stops and a Levine or Demar go 1 on 5.

Denver has almost no bench. That team is not a championship team, in my opinion. And Gordon can be left alone completely outside the lane. Does play great D though. OKC is a ton of fun to watch.
Should AD come back in early Feb, the Lakers will make the playoffs. And things are so bunched up at the bottom, I could see them rising all the way up to 8 with a decent win streak. Memphis should scare them and Denver is a tough matchup for them but there's nobody else that LA should be afraid of come playoff time.

Lakers will not be able to guard anyone. Plus that offense gets stagnant. I admit I have not watched much of them this season but I don't much has changed from last season.

if you don't think the Lakers can win in the playoffs, watch tonight's game with Memphis. LeBron having a hard time getting his shot, no AD, no Reeves, no Walker but they are staying right with one of the best teams in the West. AD will come back. And the Lakers are a championship contending team with a healthy roster.
