Trade Fields and get a couple of first round picks and some other picks. Trade the #1 pick and stay in the top 5.

Draft Levis/Richardson and Anderson/Carter

Not a fan of Richardson.

If fields is not the guy, we’ll be back here again in two years

You'll be firing the coach and gm too. Fields value may never be higher and the Bears probably aren't winning while he's on his rookie deal. Take the picks.

If you are another team and the bears are taking young, fields is better than any other possibility. He would have been the top qb talent if he were coming out this year

The problem is what happened last week and the bears hiding him this week won’t go unnoticed. 2 first-rounders is a no-brainer. Getting that could be tough.

Not a fan of Richardson at all.

He's kinda like Fields without the insane hype.

I’m not entirely opposed to trading Fields and drafting Young tho either.. like I said a couple weeks ago in one of the game threads -the Bears need to at least put a large amount of scouting into Young and so on if they’re going to be in this position.

Agree with the first part; disagree with the second.

Fields as a trading chip is like having the top 2 picks in the draft.

If you think Fields is so valuable that someone would give say two #1's for him, then he should be worth keeping. If he is not worth more than a #1, then no reason to trade him.

I take the pick haul for the #1 overall pick, and build the two lines. With all the cap space, you can get a playoff roster in two years.

I wouldn't trade for him, but the league and media are in love with him

you're also still playing into the teeth of the Burrow/Herbert/Josh Allen discount years over the next couple three seasons. Once you get beyond 2024-2025, those teams are going to have to pay top dollar to keep Burrows et al rostered with the concomitant impact on their available cap space.

KC already dealing with it with Mahomes. And I wouldn't be surprised to see Mahomes deal reworked around then to keep his salary competitive with the rest of the top QB's.

If you can reset your QB timeline to have next next year be year 1 (2024), that's about ideal. 2023 isn't too bad either. But Fields entering his 3rd year and being a running QB...how do ask him to play that 4th year without an extension? Unless somebody pops during the combine this year, I wouldn't go 1st round on any of the QB's in the current class. Maybe get the Houston guy, Clune or Tune? Tune, Clayton Tune, a round or two early if you have extra non-1st round picks--say 3rd or 4th round, if he shows anything worthwhile in the combine and other teams don't jump on him first.

Whatever team would trade for Fields won't make the playoffs next season. That means the Bears would be picking at the top of the draft no matter what.

Can we get Kevin Costner in the room so we can trade the #1 overall for the 18th and 2 second rounders while heroic music builds in the background?

this seems like an extraordinarily bad deal for the Bears.

Take this guy I don't want to pay and the 10th pick. I'll pass.

Clay might be onto something. You must be forgetting the Bears got Chase Claypool with the 33rd pick. That would be a solid core.

They need to draft the most diverse, equitable and inclusive football player

I know the Bears can't draft a non believer that high with Virginia around. It'll have to be a kid from the Midwest or South.

I would kick the tires on this deal

Bears get
Chase Young
Commanders 2023 1st rounder
Commanders 2023 2nd rounder

Commanders get
Bears 2023 1st rounder

Poles has gone too far with his tear down to stick with Fields and let Pace get the credit.
