You have to get ready to pay Young top money after he's coming off an injury. I wouldn't make that deal if I'm the Bears. Any deal that takes them out of the top 10 for one additional first round pick is bad.

It's a great deal for them. They have to stop with these retread QBs

I don't know if Chase Young is still great. I'm not paying or trading a #1 pick for him and a late first and 2nd.

Yes. When you have the opportunity to trade away a potentially generational talent at DE, along with a first and second round pick, in a weak QB draft class, you just got to do it.

Front offices don't think Stroud and B Young suck. What has Chase Young done the last 2 years? Was his rookie year great enough for you to give him a $100M+ deal after next season?

Who knows Young's injury/health status better, Commanders or Bears? If Commanders are willing to trade Young, that's a sign they don't think he's a good long-term bet health/injury wise.

By trading up to draft another Dwayne Haskins? No way

Just the Bears luck to get no 1 in a class without a clear-cut phenom.

Bryce Young is a much better prospect than Haskins. Thanks for playing

Not really. Haskins lasted to the 15rh pick in the draft. Bryce Young, regardless what you think about him will be drafted in the top 4 picks. Young is a much better prospect

Both QBs seem like their ceiling is Fields or Murray. I’m basing that opinion off of zero research

Between now and Draft Day, all the “intel”, the Combine, and post-combine chatter will push at least one GM to jump and trade the world for the pick. It always happens.

Indianapolis (4), Seattle (5), Las Vegas (7), Atlanta (8) and Carolina (9) all need a QB.

The #1 pick to Seattle for their two firsts and two seconds anyone?

That would give the Bears three second round picks, which they could use if they really wanted a late first round pick, or they could spend the pick they got for Roquan to draft a developmental QB as insurance against Fields getting killed next season.

Yeah, having Manning or Luck or Burrow to choose at no 1 is the same as this year. Got it.

And to think they won’t even trade the pick until the end of April. Maybe they should trade up instead!

I was about the only guy here who loved Burrow. No one on this board mentioned Mahomes before the draft. Draft hype isn't the most important thing.

Trade Fields for the 2nd pick. Then take Bryce Young and the best OL available.

Not sure if I understand your point. I'm not talking about hype. Just a clear-cut no 1 going into the draft that is no 1 because it's obvious and not because he was hyped into the top 5 or 2 like Lance or Wilson and so on.

Was Goldilocks the last clear cut #1? I think not having a clear cut guy is better. There is a lot of potential at the top of the draft. None of us know who will be great and who will be a bust.

What has Poles done so far to give you confidence he can pick and sign the right players. The Packers will retool, the Lions will be a contender next year with all the draft picks they have to rebuild their defense, and the Vikings will be solid. Bears are years away.

Trade the pick to the Texans for their first round pick next year. Trade Fields next season. Draft Caleb Williams #1 in 2024. Easy.
