I'd be confident in saying that L.J. never wins a SB. I'd bet Burrow and Allen do. The guy was air mailing wide open receivers all season and holding onto the ball way too long. I watched a lot of Baltimore games this year..the guy was my QB in both leagues.

There are a lot of great quarterbacks who will never win a SB. Allen and Burrow have stud WR's around them. Equanimeous St Brown would be Jackson's best WR. Jackson put up 4,000 yards in 12 games last season with fewer weapons than either have played with in their entire careers.

Marino is the only great qb to not win a sb.

Warren Moon and Jim Kelly were pretty damn good too.

Didn't include Warren Moon cuz of the CFL thing. He got screwed by the NFL having to go play in Canada out of college cuz he happened to be black.

He was in the same draft as Doug Williams who was taken in the 1st round.

LOL I almost spit out my beer reading Roethlisberger is a shitty QB even though he won 2 super bowls and that Marino wasnt an all-time great because he never won one. This place truly is gold sometimes.

And then going 3 and out the rest of the game cuz he's gotta take a massive dump and doesn't wanna shit himself on the field.

Warren Moon signed with the Edmonton Eskimos on April 12, 1978, just a few months after leading the Washington State Huskies to a Rose Bowl ...

The 1978 NFL draft was was held May 2–3, 1978, at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York City, New York.

Or, it just proves that people will believe anything that they read on the internet.

Warren Moon is a great story. His college stats wouldn't have gotten him drafted very high, if at all.

Busted his ass and became a HOFer

If Ive said it once, I’ve said it a million times, Warren moon threw the prettiest deep ball I’ve ever seen, and I’ve watched a LOT of NFL football.

It's amazing how much better he got after college.

He completed like 39% of his passes at Washington one year.

There is just something about the perfect spiral and perfect angle he threw at that was fucking amazing. I’ve been a loyal giants fan my whole life but I stopped and watched when Moon was chucking the ball to Hill, Givens, Jeffries and Duncan. That was crazy football back then, now it’s called 2nd and 10.

Actually, now that I think about it, it’s also called 3rd and 1. The NFL has been completely transformed.

Exactly, Moon knew what was up and was smart enough not to play the NFL's game until he'd be assured to have the job in the NFL he was obviously extremely qualified to do:

When Moon joined the Oilers in the mid 80's, Moon was the only black starting Quarterback in the NFL at that time.

Moon completed less than 50% of his passes in college.

He wasn't 1st string QB his first two years in the CFL.

And like I pointed out, he was under contract in Canada before the NFL draft even happened.

Stereotypes is a different discussion.

Your assertion was patently false.

So racism in the NFL had nothing to do with Moon playing in Canada?

So Warren Moon was smart enough to duck out and not to let the NFL fuck him over. Six of one, half dozen of the other.

As Seacrest stated it had more to do with this.

I think NFL GM’s even in that time preferred that their quarterbacks be able to actually complete 50% of their passes. He’s lucky he got to play anywhere based on this .

Moon was never a high completion percentage guy.

You know who else weren't high completion percentage guys back then?

Every other QB in the NFL back then.

Terry Bradshaw 51.9 percent career completion percentage. Roger Staubach middle 50's. Dan Marino's career completion percentage is slightly higher than Moon's, 59 to Moon's 58. Moon's 57 percent completion percentage his final year of college would have been one of the highest in his draft class (if he had been in the NFL draft).

I loved watching moon with the Oilers... Pac 8, that's like reading Western Conference for the Big 10. Okay, not that backwards but its still weird to see.

Here is where you started.

Hard to get screwed over when you sign a legal contract to work in another league, for another team, before the NFL ever has the opportunity to employ you.

He was smart enough to go play where he could get experience.

Moon wasn't good enough to start in the CFL when he signed.

Check how his numbers across the board increased in Canada.

He was the highest paid player in the NFL when he came back and signed with the Oilers.

Like mofo said, the CFL was the best thing that ever happened to Moon.

he wasn't going to get drafted in the NFL that year so the CFL was the best option for him. if he went to the USFL, like a lot of players did (that didn't get their big break until the 1987 strike) then i'd understand the charge.

moon's HOF career included the CFL accomplishments.

Purdy is looking off so far.

And it's hilarious to hear that Geno Smith has Seattle single season passing records(?) already. Russell Who?
