He left that team in a really shitty place with terrible contracts and a depleted farm system that will take years to fix.

I think he's saying he made the organization get 15 scouts instead of 4. He improved the spring training facility in Arizona. I think they made some facility in some Latin American country as well. He made Ricketts imporve Wrigley as well. Where the players had a club house that wasn't the size of a high school locker room and they didn't have to step over bags of dry dust and rakes to get to the shower. That sort of thing.

That's what he meant. So I'll defend Spiegel on this one.

What I do hate about everybody at the SCORE is their belief that Theo could do anything. Including be the President of the United States or run a fortune 500 company.
