I thought this guy was one of the very few competent hires the score made in the last 30 years. He didnt stick around long, continued to climb the ladder.

That is awesome. Who knows he might make it back to Chicago eventually.

I would have preferred Victor Rojas who wanted to come back but The Randazzler is better than what we had. Last year's broadcast was trash I watched all the games with the radio call which wasn't perfectly in-sync but still better than listening to Patrick O'Neal.

I heard today that the Angels still aren't going to have their radio crew travel to road games. Sad.

I listened to a fair amount of Wayne on the Mets call with Howie Rose the last couple of years. He was good in the #2 seat. I will definitely check him out in this new role.

They set the Spanish broadcast guys up in a laundry room or something. They really treated their broadcast groups badly last season. The radio side is actually very good but tv is worst in MLB. They had Vasgersian doing games remotely and his delay was so bad players were rounding 2nd when he would make home run calls. If you look on youtube I'm sure you'll find them. It was ridiculous. I just listened to radio or away broadcast all season.

Victor Rojas is very good. Very good. But I don't think Moreno likes how he calls team out when they're playing badly. Gubicza is always positive so when they're getting their heads kicked in he's talking about how close they or if if they got a hit here or there they'd somehow manage to pull ahead when they're down 10 runs. I can't even listen to that. Hopefully The Randazzler is critical when needed.
