Yeah, I don't recall the great Chargers dynasty of the 1990s.

Marv Levy travelled a lot back then. Buffalo to SD is no short trip.

The pride of Marian Catholic. His dad, Ray was a great horseman. Dave Magee's right hand man for awhile.

Seau and Harrison ok. But great for the rest is ridiculous, especially Stan Humphries.

I met Marv Levy once. You're happy for me.

I look far more fondly on the late-70s/early-80s Chargers. I'd like to watch and ALCOA Fantastic Finish right now.

Leslie O'Neal was a six time pro bowler(before they let the idiots vote), three time Second-team All-Pro and 14th on the all time sack list tied with Lawrence Taylor. Sad I gotta school you on this grandpa.

O’Neal was nice but you have to be more than a playoff flop and three time SECOND team All Pro to be “great” in my book. You lack perspective sonny! :D That you mentioned him in the same sentence with LT proves that.

I think I've heard Bernstein say that he had some sort of uncle who also attended South Shore High School. That's one Jewish community that's long gone. The only Jewish communities, of which I'm aware, left on the South Side (writ large) are Hyde Park and the Homewood/Flossmor/Olympia Fields area.

The guy who mapped DNA, Larry Ellison, at least one Hollywood studio boss among others. Shortly before we moved here there were something like 22 synagogues and only like five or six Catholic churches. Iirc there was one corner on 72nd Street where three future studio bosses grew up.
