Russell is pretty bad . Watched most of the game vs. Kings last night . The amount of stupid /unforced turnovers they made as a team was just maddening. Between that and shooting 13-25 FT, they should have won that game by like 20 . Instead after being up double digits, they have to mount a huge comeback to tie and send to OT, then proceed to get curb stomped in the OT

Marc Spears was on ESPN a little while ago and said he spoke with 6 GMs today. A couple mentioned the obvious teams (Lakers, Mavs, Heat) who'd be interested. The Bulls were mentioned as well. Sending Coby White and DeRozan works. Or Coby, Vooch, and Derrick Jones Jr. Each is probably too much -- unless the Bulls want Vooch out and are sick of his rim protection. Coby, Vooch, and Jones are all expiring contracts too.

Kyrie-LaVine-Williams-Green-Vooch or Kyrie-LaVine-DeRozan-Williams-Drummond would be fun.

I still think the Lakers end up with him. It seems like he's wanted to be there since this past offseason and Los Angeles has to give a LeBron-AD-Kyrie trio a shot. The Nets an expiring Westbrook, another guy and one of those unprotected 1st Round picks when LeBron will be long gone.

Of the Bulls big 3 Vooch is the one guy that I would like to keep.

I think the big swing is resetting by trading for several picks rather than acquiring a mercurial PG who is not a piece that you can win with today or tomorrow. Trading for Irving specifically would be very very odd given his track record.

Yes, and while going down it would be fun to watch a starting lineup where all 5 guys shoot 38% or better from 3.

If they trade Lavine for Kyrie straight up they immediately would be top 4 in the conference. Trading for picks does nothing because they'd likely be lottery protected or top 4 protected meaning you still wouldn't be drafting a franchise player.

I don't know what the big deal is. There's 30+ some games with Kyrie under contract. You want an 8-10 seed or a shot at maybe a 6? There's very little to lose.

Nets gonna make whoever trades for Kyrie take Ben Simmons off their hands as well.

No one really gives up unprotected picks these days thus it isn't much of an assumption. And picks are only assets if it's a strong draft. In a weak draft their useless.
Kyrie is a legit superstar player. Guys like that don't become available often. If you don't have to give up much(which Lavine isn't) you make the trade in a heartbeat.

That's why you barnacle Simmons to Kyrie in any deal for Kyrie. If the Nets dump both Simmons contract and Kyrie on whatever team takes Kyrie and take expiring contracts back, they'll be able to sign James Harden and Khris Middleton in the off-season.
