Well it cant go much worse. Caller Bob could go in there and do a better job than Hackett did.

I think Payton is a good coach, and if Wilson can regain some part of his former self then they are in a good place. But it definitely is not going to be easy.

And they’re stuck with the Chiefs and the Chargers, which won’t help.

At least make it believable; "Matt Nagy could go in there and do a better job than Hackett did."

That may have a smidgen of possibility. Caller Bob would fuck up twice on a 3 count huddle.

As long as boy wonder Staley coaches the chargers I wouldn’t let them cost me any sleep.

Denver has no talent. Broncos and Raiders will be the doormats in the west for years to come.

Agreed. It probably looks a lot like Jax last year and this year in terms of turn around. Hard to overstate how in over his head Hackett was.

At least Payton can’t haunt my team for the foreseeable future. But this doesn’t really do much for the saints as far as I see. They get the 29th overall pick which maybe they can trade to move up but in order to really rebuild they’d have to jettison the rest of their aging talent.

I think the key to things improving in Denver is actually eating the loss on Russell and resetting the position.

Payton will fail in Denver.

Book it.

I don't think he's a good enough coach to give up 2 draft picks to acquire.. they are already behind the 8 ball Wilson's contract and lost picks.

What is a #1 pick worth if a mediocre coach goes for a first and second round pick? He is a coach who doesn't have a ring if he didn't cheat.

I'd rather have Demeco Ryan's, I know he turned em down but I wouldn't hire anybody that cost me picks.

And I don't think that the ownership group will be very patient ether.

Once he stuck with Brees 4-5 years too long the only things Payton was good at was riding the coattails of a good defense and getting the most out of quarterbacks most gave up on. While I wish him well, but I don't think he'll justify the contract.

That's where I am at...he's a good coach, but not worth giving up draft picks....which Denver does not have a lot of to begin with.

Seacrest is right....he's gong to fail and I don't see him lasting 3 seasons, despite the roster being underwhelming. Good for the Saints that they found a sucker to give up draft capital.

Probably. He's interviewed with half the league. I imagine it's more than playing calling and domestic violence holding that is him back.

Matt Nagy wins a superbowl and on a fast track to head coach for KC. Bears build a brand new stadium but forget to put a roof on it. does anyone have cocaine?

If I saw the coach I just hired act like that around a player, I’d fire him on the spot.
