Thought maybe I had started a thread on this. Sounds like it should be coming out in February which should be a fun ride with the PGA / LIV battle playing out in front of the camera behind the scenes.

I'm finally going to have to subscribe to Netflix. I had a good run.

We'll see how this is. They have a big shoes to fill if they are going to try and emulate the F1 Drive to Survive series. That series has set the bar extremely high. It sounds like this show will be the PGA's copy of that.

I think what will make it interesting is that some of the main people in the series break off for LIV in the middle of the season. Not sure if they will be able to make golf as exciting as auto racing.

Seeing Rory is in it was a nice surprise.

Less than two weeks now. I am assuming it all comes out at once or is this a weekly launch? I didn't watch the F1 show and never saw any other Netflix shows that weren't dropped complete.

you should skip this and watch the F1 show first. Best sports doc series out there IMO. I don't follow F1, never followed any form of racing, watched this show and now want to start following F1. Only reason I decided not to follow F1 is because I didn't want to spoil the next season of the show.

"Everybody's Working for the Weekend" sounds great every time I see the commercial for the PGA.

This should be out there now. Going to try to consume a few episodes tonight if it is a fun watch.

Got through the first two episodes and found it pretty interesting. I will not put any spoilers in here but the first episode focuses on Justin Thomas and Spieth and the second was about Koepka and Scheffler. So far I would say it is very good.

Finished it this evening, enjoyed it for what it was but I guess the hype for it had me expecting a bit more. They couldn’t have picked a better year to film it with the emergence of LIV. Wonder if they’ll do another season.

Didn’t need to see Amanda Balionis talking about pressure of being a professional golfer or how hard it is to win since she isn’t an athlete. I’m over her and her phony personality.

Sean Foleys eyewear choice is rather odd. Liked the Scheffler episode, the Finau episode and the Theegala episode. Mike Oxlong was the star of the series.

I got through episodes 3 and 4 last night. Poulter in 3 and Dahmen in 4. Maybe I was expecting a little more at times as well but so far it has been fun and entertaining. Find it funny you mentioned Balionis because I also have no idea where she came from or why she is someone we should be listening to, other than the fact that she is around them all quite a bit. Pretty sure we will finish this up by end of the weekend. Just makes me want to get out more than ever.

Agreed. Watched episode #1 last night and by the end of it I was hitting putts in my living room.

If they're going to put Amanda Renner on the show she ought to take her top off.

Watched episodes 2 and 3 this weekend.

Brooks Koepka is a complete douche with zero personality. I also found his wife to be rather obnoxious as well.

I'm through 6 right now. I found the Koepka stuff kind of refreshing since he was so honest about his insecurity. His fiancee seemed like a total air head.

Finished this up last night. I liked it alright. Kind of wish they would have had about 4 more episodes. For as much footage as they must have shot they really must not have had much to pump out at least two more. I have heard reports that there will be a season 2, and in my opinion still a lot of guys worth following and meeting out there. For all the hype the show got I was a little disappointed that there just weren't more episodes there.

I watched the Poulter and Dahmen episodes last night, and I really enjoyed both of them, the dahmen episode in particular. It was interesting to see a pro athlete as self-deprecating as he is, and then see him finally light up a bit when he tasted some success.

Started it yesterday. The Koepke/Scheffler episode was a little heavy handed on the compare & contrast. I’ve always hated Poulter but he came off much more likeable than I expected.

I’ve similarly always disliked JT because he seems like a spoiled twat. I’m not so sure about spoiled now; his dad seems like a genuinely good person.

If they do another season I would love them to focus on a couple of bubble guys fighting to keep their card. That would be more compelling to me. It's why I love watching the Korn Ferry finals.

the comments you guys have posted don't exactly make this sound like a great series. Sounds ok to good.

Meanwhile, teh show they copied, F1 Drive to Survive just dropped season 5 on Netflix. Best sports doc show on TV.

It’s heavily dependent on the individual golfer (especially if you’re a casual golf fan).

Matt Fitzpatrick? Great golfer, seems like a nice guy…zero interest in ever watching 15 minutes of him again. Tony Finau? Guy is awesome in an incredibly wholesome way. Came out of his episode really wanting him to do well. Joel Dahman? Never heard of him before the show but I’d watch a full series following him & his caddy.

One thing I don’t love about the format is that every episode seems intended to force a contrast between the two featured golfers, whether or not that contrast exists.

It made Morikawa look like a total dbag relative to Finau.

If you're an avid golfer or PGA fan, you will probably like the show overall. If you're an occasional player or don't really follow the PGA tour, you likely will find it very meh.

I'm not sure the format of the is meant to broaden the audience of golf. I'm not sure the producers want to.

If this is going to continue, getting some behind the scenes of the Ryder Cup would be most entertaining. Could easily do one episode per day.

As much as I hate to admit that shakes is right about something, my wife and I are binging the F1 and it’s better than the golf series 4 episodes in. Clearly racing is more exciting than golf but this first season is different. I think Full Swing went right into the personal lives and this show really doesn’t need that so early.

Watched the first two episodes last night and they were alright I guess. Kinda recapped some of the PGA Tour/LIV stuff, showed highlights from first 3 majors and focused a bit on Rory trying to be the face of the PGA Tour. Read a review that episode 3 and 4 were likely the best and then things sort of coast after that.
