If you can play SS, you can play 2B. It's a reduction in difficulty and he has an entire spring training to perfect the footwork on the dp.

The hitting will be the problem. We road a hot streak last year, just as we did with Cueto.

Of course you won't. You're an unoriginal genius Cubs fan who is obsessed with the Sox.

Now go ahead and post the picture of the post count graphic that is over 3 years old at this point, or the oasis gif that is nearly two years old.

He's genuinely excited about the team, it's not carrying water. I've watched him on that dopey podcast with Ryan Somebody, who's always giving him the side eye.

I do think there is at least the possibility for a bunch of "bounce back" players, and maybe playoffs happen. They aren't the Pirates, where you just know that it's basically impossible for .500 to happen. However, as Red told us, "hope is a dangerous thing, hope can drive a (fan) insane".....

"bounce back" and playoffs is what the organization is hoping for. They aren't going for it all getting guys to win a World Series, which is what they said they would do when they 'missed out' on Harper and Machado.

The bar for this rebuild being a success is at least one World Series title. Anything short of that is a failure, no exceptions.

He may consider himself a reporter, but he's the pre and post guy. Most of those guys are just a shill for the team. He'd be the last person I would go to for objective White Sox takes.

Anderson's "lack of focus" and then injury had a big impact on the season.

Its all candy and roses during Spring Training. I don't necessarily disagree with your post, but I will say that when Garfien was with Ozzie and Big Frank on the postgame, he lit them up when warranted. Now maybe he did that only because of the company he was with in the studio, but still I've seen postgames with him where he was anything but a shill.

I still think the Sox have the best talent in the division. They don't need a bounce back as much just a return to their average. I think that's entirely possibly with Grandal being the one I'd have less confidence in doing so.

Probably right. I think all the calamities and mismanagement of last season has clouded many people's vision.

The Sox had a lot of talent last year. Talent on paper doesn't always mean you're the best team in the division. That was proven time and time again last season. The White Sox were quite simply not a very good team in 2022. They lost a mainstay who was one of their best hitters and their second best pitcher. Its hard for me to think they will improve much on the .500 record they had last year.

Even if they bounce back and win the Central, great. A Wild Card or Division series loss is not a successful season.

Fair enough, but I also don't think he's at liberty to speak his mind. If he thinks the team should be sold or that Williams or Hahn should be fired, I think (for the sake of his job security), he's keeping those opinions to himself.

No doubt, but there's still the rot of the organization that I may never get over. It's been going on since Ventura and I've just kinda had it. I give zero fucks about a one and done playoff. They are going to have to go deep in the playoffs for me to enjoy them. What's the odds of THAT?

Yes. It sucks rooting for a Reinsdorf team. He breeds organizational dysfunction and he aims for slightly above mediocrity.

Let’s not do this guys. Assume they’ll suck and you’ll rarely be wrong

Disappointed sure, but rarely wrong. That’s the best way to go through life.

I don't know how this Clevinger situation is going to pan out but doesn''t it seem like they are anticipating him playing this year? If so, they have a very good rotation.

You're an unoriginal genius Sox fan who is obsessed with the Cubs.

Now go ahead and post a Seinfeld quote that hasn't been funny in over twenty years, or your dimwit phrase, "Cub fans don't care about the Sox"

The organization and most of the players come off as petty and unlikable. I can't blame FAR SUPERIOR for wanting to get away from this clown outfit.
