Last I was told, she and her dad couldn't work together to get anything done and she likely wasn't coming. Got a call at 6am from my wife and she tells me now her daughter is coming and looking to fly in tomorrow and leave on New Years Eve. Good luck getting in tomorrow, even if she does it will likely be delayed and ultra inconvenient to try to drive down to get her. Always acts like the entire world revolves around her and things always come together at the very last minute.

She's not getting in...that flight is getting cancelled I bet.
4 of our 5 kids are at home. The oldest is in FL and no plans to come home. We get our share of nonsense, but nothing like that.

Apparently flight still coming but she got to the airport late and missed the cutoff to check a bag. Bumped back to the next flight a few hours later. You can’t make this stuff up.

Driving to the grocery store and all of a sudden the heat stops working. No air at all. Appears to be the blower went to shit.

My snowblower didn’t work today so I had to shovel like a homeless guy.

Why would a homeless person be shoveling? The plot next to the dumpster?

It took about ten minutes of cursing and cajoling to get mine to work this morning, but I got it done. I usually only have to prime it twice. Today, I had to prime it about a dozen times.

THIS.

Antioch and I live in the same town. If I had a snow blower I never would have even bothered to use it.

Nah- I don't want another device to store and have to winterize (isn't it summerize for a snowblower?) I welcome the exercise it provides.

Why spend 10 minutes doing something that could take 2?

Isn't there some way all the states could come together and create a single contact point for degenerate gamblers who recognize a need to get help with their addiction? Then we could get a full 28 seconds of Draft Kings ads instead of 13 seconds followed with 15 seconds of speed reading phone numbers for out-of-state groups?

The Bandit has COVID. Her Mom is living here now because her health is what the health of an 85 year-old would be and should not live on her own.

So, now everybody is isolated from each other in the house.

Important update. I cleaned the carburetor and the snowblower works again.

I disavow my earlier complaint.

TruFuel. Buy it at Ace Hardware. You will never have a problem again.

I swear by it.

Son of a bitch, it's good!!

Can I buy it at Farm King or does it have to be Ace Hardware?

I imagine Drunk Squirrel throws half a container of TruFuel in a small engine and then drinks the other half.

Edit: I swear I posted that before I saw that Drunk Squirrel chimed in. I figured he would jump in on the discussion. Lol

You can buy it anywhere you want, DS. I just find it at Ace Hardware when I do my high-end Mariano's shopping. It helps me feel grounded to go to Ace and they have a Root Beer shelf.

Get the grey can.

Tales of my alcohol consumption have been greatly overblown, especially of late. Tales of how bad my typing is have been greatly understated.

Doc, as I wandered around Farm King today I did stumble across the TruFuel aisle (seriously, a whole aisle) and chuckled thinking of this place when I saw it. Their root beer and classic niche pop selection leaves a bit to be desired. Fortunately I haven't had to run the snow blower once this winter beyond making sure it would run in December.

Arguably one of the top five worst hangovers of my life today.

I'd actually like to go to the hospital it's that painful.

What the hell did you get up to on a Thursday night? I've reached the point in my life where the pain of hangovers outweighs the pleasure of drinking. I try (don't always succeed) to keep everything in a mild range: mild buzz=mild hangover.

Reminds me of how I really cut back on smoking cigars. I was smoking one night, went to bed and then had to get right back up to care for my crying baby son. I don’t think I smoked another one for several years.
