Ryan Poles says he can already get a 24 and 25 first. I have to check out the Peter King interview.

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2 ... king-fmia/

Edit: it's probably posturing and setting the expectations for fans. Poles will likely know what nearly every team in the top 10 thinks before the draft.

Main takeaway may be that Poles seems committed to getting a guy he thinks is a star and only seems to view a half dozen potential stars in the draft.

Depending on how badly somebody will actually want Levis and Richardson, that may make the Raiders 7th pick his floor.

you have to remember that Paris Johnson is also most likely one of those "blue" level talents. I'd have no problem dropping to 7-9 for a haul and drafting him.

I’d have to think at least 3 of those guys aren’t on the Bears draft board (Stroud, Young, Johnston?). Carter may complicate things. That leaves Anderson and a couple other guys.

Free-agency looks like a dud to me. With legal tampering a week away, zero buzz to it.

This has the potential to be a very bad quote if things go poorly:

If true, you probably shouldn't broadcast it. Everyone does have a tell.

Give the man some respect, Antioch. He ran the PowerPoint presentation while someone else in his company made the call on Mahomes. He has credibility.

Correct. If true, it's a talent if he actually has it but if you tell people you have it they act abnormally which invalidates your results, which he would have known if he actually had the ability

I heard Kap and Hood read pieces of this to start their show. Now that I've had the chance to look at it, I don't think there are 3 teams involved. I think he's trying to create a market that doesn't currently exist. It reads like he's trying to disguise his panic with fake confidence. I hope I'm wrong.

He doesn't sound like he's sold on Fields.

“Now that next piece in terms of being an efficient passer is what we need to get to. I’ve been open about that. We’ve talked about it with Justin. He knows … Can he be more clear-minded when he plays, where he can just play loose because he knows where he’s gonna go with the ball? I do think there’s potential that we have something really good, and to me, you’ve got to see it through.”

yeah, I never hear Masai Ujiri or Bill Belichick say shit like that. They just do the job better than the other guys.

Colts denying they need to trade up and Bears saying they have multiple takers leads me to believe the two are in serious negotiations

Honestly the Colts can't afford to sit at 4. They may very well be stuck with the fourth best qb at that point because I'm sure the Cards are taking calls. They had to be thrilled about Richardson's performance

Pretty cocky for a guy that has gotten taken behind the woodshed on 2 of his 3 first NFL trades.

Brandon Bridge

He played well in Canada for a while.

They are going to be an interesting team to watch next year. They still have some talent offensively and their defense goes after it well.

Probably not smart to set expectations like that, since he'll look like an idiot/liar if it doesn't come to fruition (or if he ultimately can't get that, he'll feel forced to change direction and stay at #1).

Carolina has some nice younger talent, but no QB. Carr should make the Saints the early favorite in that division, but I don't think any of these teams are trustworthy.

Can Poles get more by trading down with a team like Carolina (rumored to be at least 3 1st round picks plus other picks) vs. trading down with Indy to get at least a 2nd and then trying to hold a bidding war for another team?

To me, it's still unknown the difference between Young and the rest of the QB's. If there's a clear cut #1, that first pick is much more valuable and it may just be easier to move down to a team like Carolina, but if you can still create a bidding war for the #2 (or even #3 QB), you can really clean up on draft picks here.

I don't think there is a market for Fields.

We will see. I see 9-8 at worst.

My free agent wishlist:

1. Garrett Bradbury
2. Orlando Brown or Mike McGlinchey
3. Yannick Ngakoue
4. Dalton Schultz
5. Tremaine Edwards
6. Jakobi Meyers
7. Kyzir White
8. Devin Bush
9. Larry Ogunjobi
10. Mack Hollins/Derek Watt

Brown is a luxury item coming off a bad year that would cost a shit load.. I’d rather grab 2 quality O-linemen like Powers from Baltimore and McGlinchey from San Fran than possibly overpay for 1 guy who might not be as good as he once was.

Jones the DT from Denver would be my other priority.

Also, all the targets should be in the age range of 25-27 with 28 being the oldest I would consider.. doesn’t make sense to chase players older than that.

Bradbury is the best C. After seeing Mustipher get blown up, I would like an anchor in the middle.

I love this C group in this draft. That's where I want to get my starter.

remove Ogunjobi and put Dre'mont Jones as 1. That's the 3T Eberflus so desires for his defense and he fell into their lap.

Yep. If the Bears can land another early 2nd round pick C is where I want them to go.. Schmitz from Minn is they guy I’d like to see them grab (if he’s available)
