I typed this on ChicagolandRadioandMedia.com a little while ago. ESPN Radio 1000 bosses will do everything they can to keep Bruce Levine on board. Nobody covers both Chicago baseball teams better than Bruce...NOBODY!

Bruce has a lot of weaknesses, but he absolutley is connected with Hendry and somebody over at the White Sox. He's always on top of the news. As a listener I can look past his horrible delivery/voice, crabby behavior with co-workers and general protection of players/coaches. At least he's plugged in.

Like how? Tell me one news story that we found out because of him, that we wouldn't have found out otherwise?

I'm not sure what you mean. I'm not talking about some bombshell exclusive like Watergate. I mean when it comes to stories pertaining to both the Cubs and White Sox, he usually has the news as quick as anybody. Just a few to come to mind in the last few weeks--the Harden contract option and the Hendry extension. I'm not saying that without Bruce those stories woudn't have been reported, I'm just saying that when there's news, he's on top of it. As a listener, I appreciate that.

I like Bruce and agree he gets good information. I would take him in place of Stone who has revealed nothing this year while working another game.

Stone didnt actually have the stories, someone told them about them because he didnt actually "see" the game! Which usually helps when you are suppossed to talk about it.
