Danny Mac talked about it on his podcast today.
Guess he's in bad shape.

Easy if you are eligible. If they prove he drank his liver away I think he may be in for problems. Or at least go through the wringer to prove he no longer does. Then you have to have some good luck with the wait.

I probably listened to a total of 2 hours of MJH, was Harry an alcoholic? Does it make a difference if the donor is a loved one?

Yeah he was a drunk. They pioneered here in Pitt the partial living donor transplant. You can sometimes get like a third of a healthy persons liver.

No, you can donate nearly all of your liver and be fine. It'll grow back better than ever

That go fund me he has is at 6500$, if you want a liver from a stranger you better offer em 100k or more. Then you'll find a donor.

Many people find themselves in trouble with Tylenol/acetaminophen together with alcohol. Daily drinking a Tylenol for pain or hangovers is a liver killer.

yes

I'm not telling you to empty your wallet but feel basic human sympathy for a man looking into the abyss. I also think he's been off the sauce for more than a decade.

Something must have happened.

for some context, I've recounted in the past that Harry's family owned the land on which sears tower was built. His dad had a robust boutique practice and so does his brother...like, Harry's dad was friends with Reinsdorf from even before he hit big. They have family and friends who wipe their ass in the morning with 10K. So this seems so strange that he has to go to the general population.

but, if he does, then something must be very wrong

Harry was always an annoying dipshit, I'm sure he irritated most people sober and shitfaced. Couple that with gambling, bad investments and he we are. I'm sure most rich jews look at that drunken buffoon and walked away. They ain't writing a check to this clown for a new liver.

Hey Seacrest, Harry. I know you've got a robust liver there from being such a long-time teetotaler, so ya mind if I have it? Hey, Catholics, right? We're not so different. My Sabbath is Saturday, yours is Sunday. But I'm about to have a Black Sabbath, if you know what I mean--because that's the color of my liver! I used to do a lot of voice work for Binny's. The whiskey flowed like the Nile river through my body, and now my liver's the Dead Sea Scrolls. So can ya help a guy out? I hope I made ya laugh from 'Up the Academy'. Speaking of which I should've gotten that goddamn Booger part in 'Revenge of the Nerds'. I'd try to get Curtis Armstrong's liver but I've lost enough parts to him.

I hope to see you at the reunion, I mean funeral, if I don't get a liver soon! I used to hate the thought of liver and onions. But I'd bathe in onions if I could have a liver now!

If memory serves correct I believe that he did a stint or 2 in AA about 10-15 years ago or so

Harry was bad at radio for the most part, but he was a life of the party type dude. Other than his family, his joy in life was making other people happy and trying to make them laugh. He was more than jovial and accommodating when the mic was off. He would also remember details of past conversations which showed that he truly appreciate the fans he came into contact with.

Money isn't everything.

It takes nothing to feel bad for a guy who is looking at imminent death should things not work in his favor.
