No you won't.

Probably not. But I'm losing more interest in the Sox everyday.

Tailgating is allowed in all lots, according to the do's and(mostly)DON'TS of tailgating section of the site.

 Yeah, with no tents or tables. I wouldn't call that tailgating. I'd call it standing in a parking lot.

Ya see... that is why pickups rule. I've always got a table.

I know posting misinformation is your thing, but please keep this bunk out of the Sox section.

Thanks

I've had MANY beers and dogs pregame in those lots. I've never had any under a tent. Only a handful of times has there been a table.

Jorr says I've never tailgated at a Sox game

I don't tailgate. I don't pay to park in Jerry's lots.

But it's something The Fans like. This is just another incident of the Sox pissing in the face of The Fans. Changing rules for tailgating and then selling the old rules as a "Tailgate Experience."

So you consider standing around an asphalt lot with a beer to be "tailgating." I'm not sure why you're defending the shitty behavior of this crap organization. The taxpayers fund the ballpark so Jerry can charge you to set up a table.

Quote:
The Do's and Don'ts of Tailgating
Tailgating is allowed in all parking lots
Please note: tents and table set ups will not be permitted unless they are in the reserved tailgating area located in Lot E.
Small grills only (no commercial or restaurant grade grills)
All charcoal must be dumped in the coal bins provided. Coal bins are located throughout the parking lots.
Party set-ups and grills that exceed the one designated parking space are prohibited. Items cannot obstruct or block lanes and emergency routes.
Tailgate set-ups cannot block vehicles entering or exiting the parking lots; set-ups in violation will be removed.
Kegs are not permitted on Chicago White Sox property, in the parking lots or in the adjacent areas.
All tailgate activities must be conducted in strict accordance with the law. Underage drinking is prohibited.
Trash cans are provided throughout the parking lots.
Free standing speakers, live bands, DJs, or excessively loud music are not permitted.
Please note there is no tailgating permitted following the conclusion of the game. All parking lots close approximately one hour after the game.
All tailgating ends at the start of the game.
Vehicles parked unlawfully will be towed immediately.
No selling or soliciting is allowed on Chicago White Sox property.
Vehicles with advertising or signage are prohibited.
Please keep our neighborhood neat and respect your neighbors and ours.
If you want to reserve a larger, private tailgate space, check out our Reserved Tailgate section!

I organized the family game every year before Covid. It's kind of lame that I'd need to pay $100 for a table. We always had tables--and needed them--and I always brought a tent in case it rained.

I do feel like this is just another way to gouge Sox fans.

Who's gonna tell you to take down your tables, though? The CPD?

$100 isn't that unreasonable since you get the space you once had, plus another 10 x 10. And the lot opens up earlier. There's some bang for your buck. It's the incentive to do that is what's pretty grimey.

No tables or tents. If you are really gonna tailgate for a few hours, you'll need the table. And tents are always good to have...

Seems like the only thing changing is that tables aren't allowed anymore. Most times I've tailgates at comiskey we didn't have a table anyway. We used my... tailgate.

Awesome. Who needs a table or a tent anyway? And if you do you can just pay $100-500 to the guy who gets free rent and improvements on your tax dollars. It's great being a Sox fan!

Last year we brought a tent and they told us to take it down. So no change there. I'm not sure they'll freak out over a folding table. I guess we'll see.

You don't tailgate, but here you bitching about it. I have and I've seen plenty of tables set up.

Tents are likely a safety hazard as you can't stake them into asphalt and winds could easily topple them. I guess this is too difficult for you to understand.

No prize. but if you had an ounce of integrity left you would keep your blatant misinformation to the politics section.

I've bashed the Sox more in the last 12-18 months than I had the previous ten years combined.

The Sox do plenty of shady shit. This is like #40 on the list. Why you're being such a woman about it, I haven't the foggiest notion.

If this were Tony still managing, Colas would platoon in RF with Sheets even though they are both LH.

The RF/1B/DH Platoon is gonna be interesting.

Why are you defending the indefensible? Christ, man.

And I'm not angry. I'm just pointing out what a terrible organization the team I've rooted for my entire life is. So I'll probably go to five games this year instead of 25. One year I went to 50. That's their choice not mine.

The tailgating doesn't even effect me directly. But it's just another slap in the face to the fans like losing on purpose for five years and then making "big signings" like Clevinger and Benintendi. Or taking my money up front in January and then selling a seat two rows in front of me for less on game day and including two beers.

Awesome. Who needs a table or a tent anyway? And if you do you can just pay $100-500 to the guy who gets free rent and improvements on your tax dollars. It's great being a Sox fan!

Why are you such an old ass man all the sudden? Christ man. Fucking put a smile on that fuckin pus of yours for God's sake. You wanna die angry?

Why are you defending the indefensible? Christ, man.

And I'm not angry. I'm just pointing out what a terrible organization the team I've rooted for my entire life is. So I'll probably go to five games this year instead of 25. One year I went to 50. That's their choice not mine.

The tailgating doesn't even effect me directly. But it's just another slap in the face to the fans like losing on purpose for five years and then making "big signings" like Clevinger and Benintendi. Or taking my money up front in January and then selling a seat two rows in front of me for less on game day and including two beers.

All that.

But you're not angry.

Dude let's go get a scotch and have a chat. I'm off this week.

Many that is true, but an incomplete statement.

I'd meet you for a few for sure.

I'm really not angry. Disgusted would be a better description.
