If you still read this forum, that was a great podcast today about the MJH days, Mr. McNeil.

Look I'm not saying this to be a dick but to make a point.
My family is facing some significant medical issues. Our bills are insane. We do not have a trust fund. I have asked for absolutely nothing from no one and I can tell you our bills are probably gonna be about as close to Harry's as you can imagine.

No offense Harry but you can drain the trust for what insurance doesn't cover.

Pretty interesting listen. And sad about Harry. Mac made it clear he's in bad shape. If he doesn't get a liver soon he'll die. Mac actually asked listeners to give half of their liver. 1800 824 -0200 if you want to give yours. Mac said if your terminal give it to harry.

The idea that anybody's medical needs require gofundmes is shit. I had an acquaintance give up some of his liver to his wife and he's had more medical issues since then than she has.

Is anyone going to the anniversary show? They didn't exactly leave a lot of space for the fans.

If they held the reunion show in my back yard, I’d close the blinds.

I just tuned in and Carmen and Jurko were on interviewing Tracy Butler. Going into the commercial, Carmen says the MJH reunion at the top of the hour. I thought the three were going to be together for the full 2 hours from 12-2? Who cares about Tracy Butler.

listening to this is really making me wish i would've bought tickets. would've been really cool to see all these guys again.

on a technical note, though, the mic clipping is awful. i feel like it's going to blow out my phone speaker.

I'd start a fire, hoping they'd die in a fire.

I noticed "die in a fire" is making a comeback here and I wanted to join in.

Jurko looks like he's done the least amount of damage on his body and he was a football player. Rough.

The whole smokin' weed and drinkin' thing is fun at the time, those that can't control it end up in sad shape once they hit their late 40's to early 50's.

Always an ethical dilemma with the liver transplants, do you give one to a younger person who has an issue they had no control over, or to someone that has abused themselves? Usually see the alcoholic/drug addicts frequently because the docs are hesitant to do a transplant on people that are actively abusing, so they get paracentesis frequently, we call them frequent flyers.

There is also a high risk for post surgical complications with these folks as they often have several comorbidities which will make surgery risky.

See the high cost of self abuse every single day, can only imagine what this will look like in 10 years are so when all the fentanyl abusers start entering the system.

Harry looks like he ran an alternative bookstore in Andersonville but retired to La Crosse, Wisconsin.

And tells his barber to give him the Moe Howard

Mac has said he’s not a heavy drinker. It’s just been weed for him. That’s healthier than the booze. Mac looks pretty good by the way.

No. He looks fine. There was a picture of Mac in his 30s where he was like 300 pounds. At 5 foot 7 that ain't a good look. So when you look bad when you're young it's easier to look good when you're old. That's what Mac has accomplished.

From birth, Mac was never gonna be Brad Pitt. Nor was I. Nor are most of us.

If you had to bet on the 3 of them you'd bet on Jurko. He gets it and would be able to forge relationships. The good kid was almost always unscathed and removed from any of the dustups. His radio longevity is pretty amazing but if you think about it I don't think it's super surprising that he has a place. I haven't listened in a long time...going on memory I'm a little more surprised Carmen is still on with Jurko.

Jurko is best with a good driver. So it does shock me that he's been around with Carmen as long as he's been. I've gone on record as saying Carmen is the worst host in radio history. Not just Chicago. I think he's a bimbo. I don't think there is anything going on in his brain.

Jurko is entirely dependent on someone else working. He doesn't spend a minute on preparation or programming.
