and its a cornerback.

because that is who is going to be the top talent at #9 and he clearly isn't playing for 2023

I'll be okay with it. Brad Biggs had a Mock draft where Myles Murphy dropped to like 25.

Bijan Robinson will be the BPA at #9.

That’s been a concern since I saw the first mocks post-trade and a few of them had Gonzalez from Oregon at 9.

I will be surprised if the Bears end up picking at #9.

Unless one of the 6 blue chip guys on his board falls. He probably believes picks 9-16ish are of similar value.

If he is committed to taking BPA and that is corner at 9 then he needs to trade down.

The top three corners are really good. Jaylon Johnson is a FA at the end of the year.

I think it's gonna be Skoronski or Jordan Addison.

Biggs has Addison falling essentially to the 2nd round.

So you will be good with them going corner?

It just does not seem like a position of need right now. It needs to be BPA at a position of need.

Twinkle Toes was boom or bust last season and Johnson’s arm may fall off soon.

The BPA will be Paris Johnson. He will slide in RT and can be an elite LT too in case Braxton Jones shits the bed in year two. Don't overthink this.

Everyone assumes Braxton Jones will get better, and yes he could, but he could also get worse...injury, get's lazy, league figures him out, etc..what do you do then? The Eagles had Lane Johnson who played LT before moving to RT, drafted Dillard and then lucked into Mailtala. That's called putting a priority on your line.

I agree with you.

Should Jones and Johnson both reach their potential, Johnson is the better LT.

Biggs has Addison falling essentially to the 2nd round.

Biggs had Jaxon Smith-Njigba as the 3rd WR taken, so I’m not sure if he’s insightful or an idiot.

corner is ALWAYS a position of need on any team. can't have enough good ones in this NFL.

In theory I agree with this, but with all the holes on the Bears lines can you really go with that thinking here?

The Chiefs just won the Superbowl with a bunch of nobody's at corner.

You can do that with a Brady or Mahomes.
