Is it just me but how JUICED is the baseball this year? Balls are flying out of the yard like flies at a picknik. I know that more runs are being scored like crazy and formerly great pitchers are getting lit up but this is nonsense. I appreciate the fact that they've sped up the pitchers and hitters from their delaying throwing a pitch but come-on. Maybe I'm still a baseball purist but I appreciate the game including the well done pitching performances. Now they are shrinking the strike zone, hitters are laying off breaking stuff and umps are forcing pitchers to throw fastballs right down the middle of the plate while rushing the pitchers to throw the ball too soon in my estimation.
