I'm telling you, this OG guy is fucked in the head. He's the biggest prick/ego maniac/backstabber, but on the surface, he's the biggest pussy. He never says anything to anyone's face, it's always behind their backs. He is a coward. And his family is also clearly insane. Plus, he sucks on the radio, and is way too ugly for TV. That pretty much sums it up.

OBJECTIVE: I would like to get advice as to how to get out of the rut I feel I'm in. I'm very good at what I do, but I don't see it leading anywhere.

Looks like your rut has led you the hell out of Chicago. Have fun with the Steers in Texas. Maybe if you didn't alienate all of your coworkers here, you wouldn't have been blacklisted. Change the attitude or you'll meet the same fate in Texas.

The OG's are totally delusional.

If OG is so talented, why is he constantly passed over.

One of his former SNR coworkers got a job as on the Cubs broadcast, Andy Mazur. That must have really irked OG

Mike, this is what happens when you come on here and post. Just let this go, move on to Texas, and do the best job you can. You do have talent, no matter what anyone says. But your talent lies in radio, not in pissing contests, which you have no chance of winning here.
I say let's all move on. The guy's gone, give him a break. There's gotta be someone or something else to talk about?

Well, football is a long way off, baseball isn’t here yet, and hockey is dead. In a twisted sort of full circle way, the only thing to talk right now is Bulls basketball, and that seems kind of cruel to the OG considering he’s just been replaced.

Hey Grumpy, since you seem to be so radio savy, maybe you should apply for a job with the MNMS, cause just like Rock when I asked him how Fritzy was back on the air after being banned, you answered every post arround mine but ignored my question. At least the OG is admitting who he is on here now. If you're gonna call people out and ask them how they are qualified to make certain comments, how are you qualified to make comments on things, much less call others out? That's what sucks about boards in general. Everybody can be a tough guy and hide behind a name. So if you wanna be board police about who knows what and who is "qualified" to talk about certain things, be a man. Who are ya? What are your creds? How do you have "inside info"? Let's hear it!

Maybe I'm off base but exactly what qualifies you to make those comments. You have no proof whatsoever that Mike posted on the forum until just recently. I know for a fact he did not. Most of the vindictive and personal comments were from me not him. I had to laugh everytime someone thought it was him. To say Chicago won't miss him is another idiotic comment. Believe it or not, Mike has plenty of fans, not only in Chicago, but around the country. The only people who won't miss him are the morons who post on this forum. Now you can all go back to your miserable lives. Do you have absolute proof that no other station in Chicago would hire him? If you're no longer in the business, obviously you don't. He was job hunting, the Rangers job came along, they listened to his tape, liked him and hired him. The station manager admitted that he was very sorry he didn't listen to Mike's tape first. He wouldn't have offered the job to anyone else. That's because Mike is damn good at what he does. Lastly, your predictions at the bottom of your post are nothing more than the comments of a blithering idiot. Mike will be very successful in Dallas. Meanwhile, you can go back to playing with your blocks.

What a load of crap.

Hey grumpy, here's a real simple question for you. Why didn't even ONE of his current or past co-workers wish him well and say he'll be missed in this market? I know the answer, do you?
BTW, shouldn't you be packing and getting ready for the move?

I hope the new station has a message board so we can share our love for OG with the Texas audience. I can't wait for OG to share his political crap with the Rangers audience, Tom Hicks will really enjoy hearing OG's take on world events. LOL!!!!
I'll bet the OG doesn't finish the season with the Rangers.

We all know why OG was in a job hunting mode, because when the Bulls season was done, so was OG. No station in town would hire him and obviously, the Bulls weren't going to have him back at the new station. I will admit Dallas is better than Waukegan, but tell him not to burn bridges there, that might be his only fallback real soon. Texas and OG don't seem to be a marriage made in heaven, know what I mean.

I remember OG making a anti-Bush comment during a Bulls broadcast (real relevant), have fun trying that in Texas. Just hope there aren't many message boards there.

You are all right, the Olgunick family is messed up, I remember when his brother from like Vegas posted here and threatened someone, his wife posted here and tracked down an intern, etc. It's obvious his defenders were either family or some masochist playing a joke. Watching that Sportspage last Sunday and seeing all the Texas drops (the final step needed in seeing what kind of a tool he is), it wouldn't suprise me one bit if he was the one replying in most of the posts

If any one wants to send comments on what to expect out of the new pre/post host, you can email the Rangers broadcasters. http://www.texasbaseballradio.com/eric_victor.htm

I'm not sayin, i'm just sayin

The OG has obviously taken plenty of absue here... I may not agree that all of is is well deserved, or the form of the abuse, but that is another debate for another time, and I am not out to ridicule those who have dished it to him.

Having said that, do I think Texas is a desirable place to re-locate, especially to do Rangers pre and post game shows? Absolutely not. Regardless at how much he or his family/friends have irked some people here, I think Mike deserves a second chance with his new job. I wish Mike Ogulnick good luck and hope he is happy. Perhaps I am too nice, but that's just my harmless opinion.

I find it hilarious how much attention The OG gets on these boards. I've never given that guy 5 seconds of thought until now. He's been the most invisible man to me on ESPN 1000. I don't pay attention to him at all...bye..i guess...wait did you leave yet? oh wait who cares.

I find it funny that you feel compelled to comment on the thread.

I sure don't care how much time you spent listening, maybe take your own advice from another thread and ignore the OG posts.

He gawn!!!! Texas will just fall in love with OG. LOL!!!!!

2 day,Mac read the OG email to Spaceball stating that he should have
the evening shift instead of JD and Hood.

2nite
Hood spoke about an email that OG sent to Zampillo looking for a job. Also that OG told everyone at the station that he should have been sent to Alaska to cover UIC instead of Hood. When Hood confronted him, he denied itl

JD spoke about an email that OG sent to Andy Masur, (someone that OG backstabbed and refused to talk to at SNR) saying that he wanted the Cubs pre and post show.

Both JD and Hood called him a backstabbing bad guy.

I guess we were right

I have never heard 2 segments on a radio station validate EVERY negative thing about someone like today.

Every OG hater should walk with their heads held high today, for you were all proven right.

I wonder what southpaw, Grumpy McGrumperson, and any other OG alias have to say today? I haven't looked around the board much yet, but I'm intrigued to see if any of them have posted since "Future Mail."

It seems like radio personalities all act like a bunch of whiny broads on a soap opera. Is there anything different in what J.D., Hood and the rest did to OG than what OG did? I don't know, just throwing that out. He's no longer there to defend himself, so wham, let's pummel him now. I admit he's an easy mark, but were the e-mails read out of context? Did he really say he wanted the Cubs job outright? Man, people make him out to be the Joan Collins character on Dynasty (without the cleavage, of course), but I'm not buying it.

Given that I used to work with Mike, and that I've met Jeff on several occasions in the field, there is no question that was the exact e-mail Ogulnick sent Masur. When people say Mike is one of the worst guys in the business, they're not kidding. I hear the people over at Sporting News Radio are thinking about building a statue of Dickerson and Hood in the lobby. They now have me as a listener!

So, if I gather right, OG's former boss, Spaceballs, allowed an e-mail that OG sent to him in confidence to be used on air to prove that OG is no good. I'm not sure I want Spaceballs as a boss. Wonder what other e-mails will make it on air. Like I said, OG is an easy mark. But this isn't eighth-grade. C'mon.

No it was a letter sent to Adam Delivitt and that was read by Mac

Interesting, Andy Masur disliked OG to such an extent that he would forward the OG email to a show that was on the air the same time that he was hosting Sports Central.

That may just show how worried he is about the competition at the other end of the dial.

Also, Glad to see that Hoodie has learned from his previous mistakes at the Score.

Anyone feel that this board had anything to do with the demise of the OG at ESPN?

I don't think it made a big difference, but since so many of them lurk on these boards I'm sure it had an effect on their views of the guy which were pretty bad to begin with. He dug his own grave with them on an individual level. We were just the icing on the cake IMO.

It sounds to me that OG was too dumb to delete his sent file on his computer email at the station. I'll bet someone justed opened up his email and read these emails. No one said Mazur forwarded the email, just that OG sent it.
OG's antics will follow him wherever he goes, the new station will soon find out on their own what a lowlife OG really is.

Fan-tastic,
The point isn't that Adam or Masur or Spaceball allowed these e-mails to get out in the open. The point is that Mike is such a piece of garbage, he would write these e-mails in the 1st place. And OG doesn't act like he's in 8th grade, he acts like he's in 2nd grade.
