Could be the tOSU thing sticks in folks minds even tho everyone says it's not relevant. Florida QB's had the same issue after a run of high draft pick busts in the 90's. Neither school has ever had a Pro Bowl QB (unless you count Tom Tupa making it as a punter) drafted directly out of their program.

It's just dumb logic. Most QBs fail. If you are a school that produces draftable QBs, most of them will be bad.

Isn't Stroud's stock plummeting because of the leak regarding his abysmal S2 score?

oh yeah, totally illogical. but then drafting a QB appears to be more an exercise in voodoo than logic.

I appreciate the work, Nas, but Dolphin is right here
- Everything I've seen shows the top 3 OL to e Skoronoski, Broderick, and PJJ
- Stetson should is in the large group of tied for 10th....he's not an NFL QB.

yeah, the test score propelled the drop. but he can't be the first high potential draft prospect to botch a test. it seems like the league was just looking for any reason to abandon Stroud as a top 3 pick and the test score provided that excuse. Also, isn't this S2 thing a brand new this year test? Who knows how accurate its assessment is at this point.

I think Stroud will still go in the 1st round, probably top 10-ish still? If he stays on the board past 10 I imagine some team will trade up and grab him before 15.

QB
I like you being bullish on Clayton Tune. Stetson Bennett will be a mercy pick in the 7th if drafted at all. You don't even have Tanner Mc Kee. CJ Stroud is going to be fine.

TE
Washington isn't even in the same league as Kincaid. I think he will be slow to learn the position because he's going to be the type who has to block a lot. He'll be a red zone target his first couple of years. I think Kincaid is an immediate impact TE.

T
you have broderick jones way too low. This group gets average very quickly but he is not in the average group. Skoronski is the best lineman. He's the only guy you don't have to project to find a future star player. Dawand Jones is just big. I guess you can put him at right tackle for life but he's not the third best lineman.

IOL
i think you are underrating the centers. Vorhees tore up his knee in draft prep, so who knows what he is.

DT
GTFO with Kancey. He's a one way player as a 3T. Rush the passer. I think Tuli is too light for the interior. I have my eye on Karl Brooks for the Bears 3T

I didn't think McKee was much better than Tyson Bagent.

I think Washington is easily the best blocker and most athletic. I think he's underrated as a pass catcher.

Peter Skoronski has mastered geometry, but I don't see much room for growth. He's not the most athletic, he has short arms, and he's not a nasty kid. I think Johnson and Dawand are maulers who are already good or solid. Both still have are still developing and have a lot of room for growth. That said, I agree with you. Tackle is a very weak position. Edge rusher is the strongest.

Maybe so. I wasn't really impressed.

I liked Kancey a lot. Unlike Carter, he actually makes plays.

How often are the experts projections accurate? If you answered never, you're right.

I understand the limitations that Stetson has. He's a backup, but I don't like to discount TWTW. He has that.

Stetson Bennett ahead of Max Duggan was an outrage. I stopped reading at that point.

Max Duggan sucks and he lacks the TWTW.

He’s right that he’s not a good nfl prospect. He’s wrong that a 35 year old Stetson Bennett is better.

I tried to like him more, but I couldn't. I can't erase the bed wetting in the championship game from my memory.

There is something about a guy who consistently shows up under the bright lights that makes me gravitate towards them. Far too often we discount the intangibles over natural ability. I would prefer Stetson to come off the bench to finish a game over Duggan. No beef with you feeling differently. We're all projecting or leaning heavily on the opinions of others.
