Other than "hope", look at what the roster has done this season.

Cease is good. Even not being Cy Young candidate level, he's a pitcher every team would want.
Moncada had a good start, but now is hurt again, so maybe can't even count him.

Could argue there isn't another player on the entire roster playing well. There are a few players that could be part of a good team/the future, but most of that is "hope" again, and not based on actual play we are seeing.

There are going to be like 6000 people there tomorrow night booing the shit out of this club. And rightly so.

I'm shopping around for a second team. It needs to be on Mountain or Pacific time and it can't be too obvious. Meaning, I want a near White Sox experience and I can't pull for a team that's guaranteed success. Therefore, no Dodgers or Padres. I'm thinking the Angels are just about the right level of mediocrity with a small upside to give me that old White Sox feeling. That being said, I respect the wild animals in the visitor's press box angle that Oakland is playing, that seems kind of White Sox. What do you think: Angel's, Marines, Giants?

I was always an A's guy, except for '88-'92. Seemed like the perfect corollary (apart from their success). They almost moved to Chicago, too, but they've been my back-up team. Not sure now that they will be living in Las Vegas. Oakland, I can pull for. LV is a mistake.
