Best running back in the draft. Dorsey knows what he's doing.

No and he just spent 18 million on a three down back and they drafted another one high with the same skills two years ago

Yes. I know you loved Skoronski, but I thought Wright was the 2nd best tackle and had the nastiness this team needed.

Agreed. Wright might end up being the best tackle in the group.

Wright's arms aren't much longer than Skorknowski(sp?) and he looks very out of shape.

I’m glad he took OL. I don’t love that he passed over Carter.

Flus has said explicitly that the three technique is critical to his defense. He’s a defensive coach. There was one legit three technique in this draft and that person happened to be maybe the best football player in this draft.

Poles passed.

He'll have options available tomorrow who actually make plays and don't leave their friends and teammates when they are dying.

More likely than not we're drafting a QB in 2024.

I haven't seen much talk about him but I like Karl Brooks from Bowling Green for the 3T spot. He played a lot outside but at 300 pounds he's more than big enough to play inside. Good pass rush from the inside and quick off the snap.

No. Wright was in that group of OT who were expected to go right around the pick. I personally like Skoronski, but I'm not going to complain about a professional scout who thinks the arm length doesn't play at tackle. i'm not going to bitch too much about not taking Carter. He has all kinds of stink on him and it isn't just the driving issue. I, however, would have taken him and a better GM than Poles did as well.

I, and I think they, want quicker pass rushers at that spot. I doubt Siaka is even on their board

It’s always fun to have a morbidly obese guy in the middle.

Mike Tomlin could have traded for him and did not. That's really all there is to see here.

The motherfucker (Carter) was dressed like Fletcher Cox was before the Super Bowl. The Eagles have the infrastructure in place to take that gamble. The Bears didn't have the infrastructure or a team full of his former teammates. You don't want to bet your career on that guy.

We saw the results of him being surrounded by his Georgia friends

I think with the Eagles, he doesn't have to be great. Now, that may cause him to loaf, but Eagles fans hold players accountable.

Shitty work out, out of shape, and left a teammate to die.

He has a huge mountain to climb to gain respect in an NFL locker room.

They didn't draft the best player available because they didn't have the right infrastructure? One of the benefits of having a shitty team is getting first crack at the best players. Deferring to the Eagles because you aren't ready to draft a great player seems sketchy. And not having a team full of his former teammates seems like a great start if you are somehow still worried about what happened in his college years.

I don't personally believe Carter was the best player. IF you are going to gamble on a guy who has the flaws that Carter has, you better have a GREAT locker room and the cachet. Poles would have been betting his career on Carter. I'm not taking that bet. Even the Steelers weren't interested.

People seem to generally like Wright as a safe pick. That’s fine. If they pick up a center today, they’ll have 4 spots on the OL relatively locked in with young guys, so they’ve at least addressed one side of the ball.

right, like the flipside of him being surrounded by Bulldogs is that they all knew the people who died and are tied in to what really occurred. Maybe the Eagles addressed that with the two players they had under contract before last night
