Not really bragging because nothing has happened yet, but I'll be taking an interview with another company next week that would require moving out of state. This was really nothing that I have considered in many years. My wife ended up leaving her job in December, and with both of her kids out of the house and on their own, it opened up this possibility. I've wanted to move to a warmer climate for a while, mostly based on my favorite hobby, but also just to be able to enjoy the outside a bit more year round and be a bit closer to my mother and my brothers family. We will see what happens I guess. Even if this opportunity doesn't work out, I think getting out of the Midwest is something I will likely pursue.

Best of Luck.

Thanks Mike

Sounds like it may work out well for you either way. Maybe you stick around and get more coin or benefits from your current place, or move and play golf year round.

Not a bad 'problem' to have. Good luck!

Our high school basketball season came to a close last night. Youngest daughter played in her final game. Ends a run of 10 straight years with a daughter on the team. Some amazing memories. Youngest ends her career in the top 10 in state history for most charges drawn in a season. Pretty cool way to end things. She finishes up being in the top 10 in both the tennis and basketball state record books.

Life moves way too fast.

I sincerely believe that I felt five years older once my sons’ teams finished for the final times. After a dozen years coaching and following them around I began to even feel the pain in my knees with regularity again.

My wife came home yesterday and surprised me with a new bottle of Blanton's.
I love her.

Congrats Deni$! Seems like just yesterday that you were talking about the cost of new tuition.

In some ways it does Mike. But it feels like we enjoyed the moments up until now. It is what you want for your children.

Congratulations!

I still have time but I fear that post graduation I won't even be part of the moments. School gives you a nice cycle to your life and progress that you can chart/celebrate with your family. What happens next?

Your kids wait for the inheritance.

That's it, just come by out of obligation and to keep in good graces. Maybe they start to rely on you a little more once they have kids but that's just so they can get free babysitting.

Finally Yankee Stadium. Covid killed my Cubs trip here in 2020 but I got a box today.
