I going to give my unbiased opinion on this team. I am not a WSox fan so I am not infected by the negativity of most wsox fans here.

This team is like 1 or 2 clicks away from making a serious run deep into the playoffs.

That sounds crazy but they're right on the cusp of making a big run but right now it's like 1 step forward 2 steps back. They just need to get over this undefined hurdle - you can see it these last 3 weeks. I dont know what it is, clubhouse, something, but a few tweaks here and there will fix it. It's not like they need a new rebuild. The core of this team right now is really promising.

Trade Anderson or Moncada - get some fucking pitching, especially late inning relief. Hendricks can still do the job but the guys before him they need to shore up.

They are very close and I think they're smart enough in the front office and managerial staff to see it.

If only somewhere, someplace, we could find a SS. Ideally, a guy who's had about 10 years in the top 10 in assists, fewest errors, and range factor. Maybe find a guy who's currently wasting away at 2B. Know anybody like this?

I was there today. It was a very sleepy game until Joe Kelly game in and burned down the stadium. The Anderson error was frustrating, but that game was lost the second Kelly walked through the bullpen door.

Yep. He is a good pitcher. He just isn't a closer. And it was Anderson' error that cost them in that game.

I've had it with Butterfingers. 120 errors in 808 games. All defensive metrics are negative other than range. He's been at this for 8 years now and he hasn't improved one iota. He's got to hit .320 every fucking year to able to live with his bullshit at SS.

1. This team is not very close
2. Look at the scores the last two weeks. If anything it’s their pitching that has been beating these bad teams. They cannot score runs.
3. Even with the decent pitching they have been getting they don’t have good pitching.
4. Soon Giolito will be traded. So will Anderson, Moncada, maybe even Kopech.
