More winning by the PGA.

The PGA’s reserves were probably equivalent to the GDP of a small country, but I’m happy to know that professional golfers will make a lot of money absent fear of Saudi litigation.

It warms the heart.

They should have hired Spiral. He would have only charged them $10 million.

New details about the deal between the PGA Tour and the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF) have emerged.

PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan will oversee both the PGA Tour and LIV Golf once this agreement is finalized, according to a Sports Illustrated report.

This development means that Monahan can disband LIV if he wants to and also approve the reinstatement of former PGA Tour professionals if he so desires.

That was a heck of a putt on the 4th playoff hole and for him to be the first Canadian in 69 years to win the country's open championship was pretty dramatic.

I bet he is feeling quite a bit of stress here. Wouldn't be surprised to see him replaced honestly, but then someone else has to deal with taking a big bite of this shit sandwich.

PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan is taking a leave from his role following an undisclosed "medical situation."

The PGA Tour announced the news in a statement released Tuesday. Executives Ron Price and Tyler Dennis will take over Monahan's duties in his absence.

"Jay Monahan informed the PGA Tour policy board that he is recuperating from a medical situation," the statement reads. "The board fully supports Jay and appreciates everyone respecting his privacy. During Jay’s absence, Ron Price, Chief Operating Officer, and Tyler Dennis, Executive Vice President & President, PGA Tour, will lead the day-to-day operations of the PGA Tour with the assistance of the great team Jay has built, ensuring seamless continuity. We will provide further updates as appropriate."

The Tour didn't elaborate on Monahan's health status or the nature of his medical condition.

All the PGA media hacks and fanboys still think the PGA won? Saudis already own golf, European soccer transfer market in turmoil because of the Saudis, American team sports will be next.

Nice win for Bradley, being from that part of the country I know he really wanted that trophy badly. I saw that he started slipping but had a commanding lead so things were really never in doubt. Next couple of tournaments are Rocket Mortgage in Detroit and John Deere out in Silvis. Not really drawing elite fields for these, doubt I will watch much this coming holiday weekend. Anyone going to the John Deere to watch?

Rocket doesn’t have an elite field, but there are some good names in it. Have no idea about John Deere, but I have no intention of making the trip from Columbus for it, anyway. Last time I was at the John Deere was 2015.

Forgot that the Senior Mens US Open is at SentryWorld this week up in Stevens Point, WI. I'll likely tune in for some of that. Played there in the late 80s with my dad for a father/son tournament, but the course was pretty much completely redesigned before Covid and then the course stayed closed for a few years to get it just right for this event. Supposedly a beautiful layout. They also do something unique in golf that they offer an all-inclusive round of golf. Includes golf, range balls, and all you can eat and drink on the course. Also they spread tee times out every 20 minutes so there is less chance of bunching up. Pretty expensive but sounds awesome.

The Pro at my club missed qualifying by one stroke. He was the second alternate so he went up there but didn't get in. Would have been really cool if he had played.

That would have been awesome. This morning it looked like Mike Small the coach at Illinois was in 2nd.

I was able to avoid the results all day so I could watch this afternoon. Great win!

I love watching the Korn Ferry events this time of year and watching guys fight for tour cards. Guy just finished birdie-birdie to win and jump up into the top 30. The top 30 at the end of the year get their card.

Yeah and he has been around a while, so it has been quite a journey for him. I was watching too.
